Thanks, they were brick pillars that we clad in timber and then stained and oiled. We used cypress pine for this particular job however the client sourced it and he timber was not seasoned. As a result it shrank a bit and we had to putty the gaps a year later. Seasoned hardwood would be ideal but a bit more expensive.
