New kitchen, stain less steel appliances and faucet, dark stain to the island, Ivory with a hint of beige in the floor tiles, stain less steel black splash, Granite Kilamanjarie (grey

with creams and peach hue.)

I ordered Ivory for the kitchen cupboards but they delivered and installed what looks like a dirty grey white. The cupboards are well made but the kitchen looks dull. There is no way to return this I am stuck with it, what can I do? Can I repaint? Help

I agree with Brandi. I think if you paint the walls, the cabinets will look more ivory.

Soften the contrast between your light and dark with ambient task lighting.

Paint yur walls any of he above colours, I also like beige royal, but full strength against the island stone, and install under cabinet lighting and inside the glazed overheads. Warm lights will give a nice glow and soften the detailing.

Pendant lighting in coppers or bronze would also tie into your style.

It is not bland, and I think the white is much better than ivory would have been. Ivory is dated, lthough complimentary to your stone on the island, introduce this colour note on the walls instead.

I have painted my inside walls with Dulux Natural White and outside render in Duck White i love them. i found that they dont throw to a pink or yellow undertone which suits my warm toned furniture and also my modern kitchen. Buy sample pots and paint a few different walls and observe at different times of the day especially against your kitchen cabinets. I must admit that i called in the big guns and rang for a dulux paint specialist to visit as was having a panic attack with the inside she was fantastic and all sorted in an hour. Good luck!!

Think that warm taupe wall color would work well! Also shiny door handles will refresh look and some little warm lightning will be good with countertop.

I did the same as denisemander. I called a Dulux colour consultant and then the cost of the consultation is deducted from your paint purchase anyway, So free consultation if you buy their paint. Win Win.

I don't understand? If you ordered and paid for ivory cabinets and they installed the wrong colour then you are in titled to some sort of refund, replacement or compensation.
Thats a fair bit of money spent on something thats not right and its not your fault.

Once it's full of all your accoutrement, it will be lovely. Add an accent colour or two and you're sorted.

Did u actually pick the colour from a colour card and agreed on that with the kitchen company? If so, have u still got the colour card? If so, put the card up against you cupboards in the (daytime) and then again in the (evening), when not a lot of light is reflecting. Paint always looks different on walls etc than they do on the colour card. It depends on the lighting in the room. The colour of the walls or floor throw off reflections, so can actually make the colour seem different. 1/.. If this is what's happened, your stuck with the colour.Your just looking at a bland kitchen and only the paint colour is in your face. So stands out alone. But honestly, wait till all the kitchen is finished and furnished ect, as you will find the colour won't affect you as much. 2/.. If it's not the colour you chose, and you can prove it, you can either get them to give u a big discount or have them re do it. It's that simple. I'm sure you'll find that once all is completed, it will be fine.

I know how you feel, my cupboards looked a totally different colour to what I thought they would but then The paint pulled it all together. I also vote for Royal Beige. I painted my kitchen in it and had a feature wall in Linseed. Seemed dark when I first start painting but I loved it by the time I finished.

Add a couple of hanging lights over the bench and perhaps timber stools to add more warmth

Add a skylight or the new solar tube below. No idea about this particular manufacturer but there are many. No leaks or added heat. Completed solar tube photos also below. This will really lighten your room during the day and may be all you need. They are inexpensive.
