Hi goforbeauty14 Thank you so much for your question. This planter faces south. It gets occasional filtered shade from an overhead trellis. But mostly beating sun and salt winds. Everything in here is very hardy. We planted it so a few things that like a little shelter from the sun are growing layered beneath the wider spread of other plants. I wouldn't hesitate to plant a similar selection in a west facing planter bed.
