Checkout VintagePorchSwings.com for information about bed swings. We use 1", 1 1/4" and 1 1/2" rope for our bed swings. We support them from 4 corners allowing your bed to glide rather than swing from 2 points. We typically use Eye Screws to connect it to the ceiling.
