When you have a bathroom with plenty of sunlight, it's only fitting to utilize it for the most beauty possible! This bathroom upgrade features a stand-alone soaker tub, a custom ceramic tile shower with dual shower heads, and a double sink vanity.

This home in Napa off Silverado was rebuilt after burning down in the 2017 fires. Architect David Rulon, a former associate of Howard Backen, known for this Napa Valley industrial modern farmhouse style. Composed in mostly a neutral palette, the bones of this house are bathed in diffused natural light pouring in through the clerestory windows. Beautiful textures and the layering of pattern with a mix of materials add drama to a neutral backdrop. The homeowners are pleased with their open floor plan and fluid seating areas, which allow them to entertain large gatherings. The result is an engaging space, a personal sanctuary and a true reflection of it's owners' unique aesthetic. Inspirational features are metal fireplace surround and book cases as well as Beverage Bar shelving done by Wyatt Studio, painted inset style cabinets by Gamma, moroccan CLE tile backsplash and quartzite countertops.

For the renovation, we worked with the team including the builder, architect and of course the home owners to brightening the home with new windows, moving walls all the while keeping the over all scope and budget from not getting out of control. The master bathroom is clean and modern but we also keep the budget in mind and used luxury vinyl flooring with a custom tile detail where it meets with the shower. We decided to keep the front door and work into the new materials by adding rustic reclaimed wood on the staircase that we hand selected locally. The project required creativity throughout to maximize the design style but still respect the overall budget since it was a large scape project.

The master bathroom features custom cabinetry made by hand with drawers that are enclosed around the plumbing. The large shower is made from carrera marble and marlow glossy tile in smoke. The carrera marble flooring features a wide basket weave patern with a smoky gray and black dot. The toilet is also upgraded to a bidet.

An unexpected mix of stone surfaces gives the large, tradition Master Bathroom an air of permanence and elegance. This showcase bathrooms created with an experimental blend of numerous stones- all in the marble and limestone families, by mixing the warmth and the cool tones naturally. The creamy Limestone countertops fill the design and brings warmth and cheer to it. A serpentine mosaic on the adjacent wall runs above the edge of the oval tub. Although the mix of white, gray and gold might seem unusual, the finish effect is one of the turn-of-the-century European elegance.

New Moroccan Villa on the Santa Barbara Riviera, overlooking the Pacific ocean and the city. In this terra cotta and deep blue home, we used natural stone mosaics and glass mosaics, along with custom carved stone columns. Every room is colorful with deep, rich colors. In the master bath we used blue stone mosaics on the groin vaulted ceiling of the shower. All the lighting was designed and made in Marrakesh, as were many furniture pieces. The entry black and white columns are also imported from Morocco. We also designed the carved doors and had them made in Marrakesh. Cabinetry doors we designed were carved in Canada. The carved plaster molding were made especially for us, and all was shipped in a large container (just before covid-19 hit the shipping world!) By installing a shed dormer we gained significant head clearance as well as square footage to have this beautiful walk in shower added in place of the previous smaller tub with no clearance.

The clients wanted a refresh on their master suite while keeping the majority of the plumbing in the same space. Keeping the shower were it was we simply removed some minimal walls at their master shower area which created a larger, more dramatic, and very functional master wellness retreat. The new space features a expansive showering area, as well as two furniture sink vanity, and seated makeup area. A serene color palette and a variety of textures gives this bathroom a spa-like vibe and the dusty blue highlights repeated in glass accent tiles, delicate wallpaper and customized blue tub.
