For this beautiful Tampa home, our studio employed a rustic approach that blended well with the contemporary nature of the home. We used a beautiful wooden tone for the kitchen cabinets and island, giving it a lived-in feel. Terracotta-colored backsplash and wooden beams on the ceiling complete the rustic appeal. We also added attractive, thoughtful decor all over the space, seamlessly tying it to the desired theme. --- Project designed by interior design studio Home Frosting. Esta es una planta multifuncional, no quisimos crear un dormitorio al uso ya que hubiéramos perdido todo el espacio tanto del dormitorio como de la terraza. En esta planta nos dimos cuenta que era necesario crear un aseo. Los invitados no se sentirían muy cómodo si tienen que invadir el espacio más privado e íntimo de los anfitriones cada vez que tienen que usar el baño. Mucho menos invadir su zona de descanso a altas horas de la madrugada, fue entonces cuando le dimos formas al aseo. Un aseo coqueto, funcional y abierto, se integra perfectamente con el espacio y no quisimos, un lugar claustrofóbico, ni tapiar la única ventana de la habitación y dejar está sin iluminación natural, con estos argumentos diseñamos un lugar multifuncional, con un magnifico sofá-cama que puede servir tanto como dormitorio de invitados, como despacho, zona de juegos o sala de estar……. Diseñamos un magnifico armario de suelo a techo para cubrir la necesidad del almacenamiento y dentro de este se colocó una pequeña nevera para tener bebida y comida fresca sin necesidad de tener que bajar a la cocina.

Vibrant Accents and Functional Elegance The shower area features Brazilian slate porcelain tiles in Oxford white, trimmed with aluminum for a sleek finish. The eye-catching Vihara Iridescent Swish mosaic tile, in shades of blue and grey, adorns the accent wall, creating a stunning visual centerpiece. The shower includes two small niches on the accent wall, a bench, and large niches on the opposite wall, enhancing functionality and style.

This gem of a home was designed by homeowner/architect Eric Vollmer. It is nestled in a traditional neighborhood with a deep yard and views to the east and west. Strategic window placement captures light and frames views while providing privacy from the next door neighbors. The second floor maximizes the volumes created by the roofline in vaulted spaces and loft areas. Four skylights illuminate the ‘Nordic Modern’ finishes and bring daylight deep into the house and the stairwell with interior openings that frame connections between the spaces. The skylights are also operable with remote controls and blinds to control heat, light and air supply. Unique details abound! Metal details in the railings and door jambs, a paneled door flush in a paneled wall, flared openings. Floating shelves and flush transitions. The main bathroom has a ‘wet room’ with the tub tucked under a skylight enclosed with the shower. This is a Structural Insulated Panel home with closed cell foam insulation in the roof cavity. The on-demand water heater does double duty providing hot water as well as heat to the home via a high velocity duct and HRV system.
