Our clients called us wanting to not only update their master bathroom but to specifically make it more functional. She had just had knee surgery, so taking a shower wasn’t easy. They wanted to remove the tub and enlarge the shower, as much as possible, and add a bench. She really wanted a seated makeup vanity area, too. They wanted to replace all vanity cabinets making them one height, and possibly add tower storage. With the current layout, they felt that there were too many doors, so we discussed possibly using a barn door to the bedroom. We removed the large oval bathtub and expanded the shower, with an added bench. She got her seated makeup vanity and it’s placed between the shower and the window, right where she wanted it by the natural light. A tilting oval mirror sits above the makeup vanity flanked with Pottery Barn “Hayden” brushed nickel vanity lights. A lit swing arm makeup mirror was installed, making for a perfect makeup vanity! New taller Shiloh “Eclipse” bathroom cabinets painted in Polar with Slate highlights were installed (all at one height), with Kohler “Caxton” square double sinks. Two large beautiful mirrors are hung above each sink, again, flanked with Pottery Barn “Hayden” brushed nickel vanity lights on either side. Beautiful Quartzmasters Polished Calacutta Borghini countertops were installed on both vanities, as well as the shower bench top and shower wall cap. Carrara Valentino basketweave mosaic marble tiles was installed on the shower floor and the back of the niches, while Heirloom Clay 3x9 tile was installed on the shower walls. A Delta Shower System was installed with both a hand held shower and a rainshower. The linen closet that used to have a standard door opening into the middle of the bathroom is now storage cabinets, with the classic Restoration Hardware “Campaign” pulls on the drawers and doors. A beautiful Birch forest gray 6”x 36” floor tile, laid in a random offset pattern was installed for an updated look on the floor. New glass paneled doors were installed to the closet and the water closet, matching the barn door. A gorgeous Shades of Light 20” “Pyramid Crystals” chandelier was hung in the center of the bathroom to top it all off! The bedroom was painted a soothing Magnetic Gray and a classic updated Capital Lighting “Harlow” Chandelier was hung for an updated look. We were able to meet all of our clients needs by removing the tub, enlarging the shower, installing the seated makeup vanity, by the natural light, right were she wanted it and by installing a beautiful barn door between the bathroom from the bedroom! This countryside farmhouse was remodeled and added on to by removing an interior wall separating the kitchen from the dining/living room, putting an addition at the porch to extend the kitchen by 10', installing an IKEA kitchen cabinets and custom built island using IKEA boxes, custom IKEA fronts, panels, trim, copper and wood trim exhaust wood, wolf appliances, apron front sink, and quartz countertop. The bathroom was redesigned with relocation of the walk-in shower, and installing a pottery barn vanity. the main space of the house was completed with luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout. A beautiful transformation with gorgeous views of the Willamette Valley.

Victorian Style Bathroom in Horsham, West Sussex In the peaceful village of Warnham, West Sussex, bathroom designer George Harvey has created a fantastic Victorian style bathroom space, playing homage to this characterful house. Making the most of present-day, Victorian Style bathroom furnishings was the brief for this project, with this client opting to maintain the theme of the house throughout this bathroom space. The design of this project is minimal with white and black used throughout to build on this theme, with present day technologies and innovation used to give the client a well-functioning bathroom space. To create this space designer George has used bathroom suppliers Burlington and Crosswater, with traditional options from each utilised to bring the classic black and white contrast desired by the client. In an additional modern twist, a HiB illuminating mirror has been included – incorporating a present-day innovation into this timeless bathroom space. Bathroom Accessories One of the key design elements of this project is the contrast between black and white and balancing this delicately throughout the bathroom space. With the client not opting for any bathroom furniture space, George has done well to incorporate traditional Victorian accessories across the room. Repositioned and refitted by our installation team, this client has re-used their own bath for this space as it not only suits this space to a tee but fits perfectly as a focal centrepiece to this bathroom. A generously sized Crosswater Clear6 shower enclosure has been fitted in the corner of this bathroom, with a sliding door mechanism used for access and Crosswater’s Matt Black frame option utilised in a contemporary Victorian twist. Distinctive Burlington ceramics have been used in the form of pedestal sink and close coupled W/C, bringing a traditional element to these essential bathroom pieces. Bathroom Features Traditional Burlington Brassware features everywhere in this bathroom, either in the form of the Walnut finished Kensington range or Chrome and Black Trent brassware. Walnut pillar taps, bath filler and handset bring warmth to the space with Chrome and Black shower valve and handset contributing to the Victorian feel of this space. Above the basin area sits a modern HiB Solstice mirror with integrated demisting technology, ambient lighting and customisable illumination. This HiB mirror also nicely balances a modern inclusion with the traditional space through the selection of a Matt Black finish. Along with the bathroom fitting, plumbing and electrics, our installation team also undertook a full tiling of this bathroom space. Gloss White wall tiles have been used as a base for Victorian features while the floor makes decorative use of Black and White Petal patterned tiling with an in keeping black border tile. As part of the installation our team have also concealed all pipework for a minimal feel.
