Poured plates are made from mineral powder and water-based acrylic polymer. Troels Flensted add a little bit of pigment to this casting mix which flows together and creates patterns that are unpredictable. Flensted's work is often minimalistic in its shape, allowing the materials' own characteristics to shine. The collection is handmade in his experimental studio in Copenhagen by himself and one assistant. Every piece is unique.
In January 2016 Troels Flensted received the "Talent a la carte award" for his Poured Collection by Maison & Objet Paris. Flensted graduated from Central Saint Martins in London in 2014, and moved back to his native Copenhagen,to setup his experimental design studio in Denmark.
