Turn origami cats and dogs into a mobile
STEP 1: Push a pin through the paper, about ½ centimetre down the top of each origami face. Next, measure and cut a 30- to 80-centimetre piece of thread, and pass through the hole you made with the pin, then tie to fasten.

STEP 2: Thread some coloured beads onto each. This is not just for decoration, but will ensure your origami hangs straight, too.
STEP 3: Take one of the pieces of thread that is attached to an origami animal and tie the end to the hoop. You will need to tie it tightly using a double knot. Repeat for each origami piece that you have made, spacing each one out at least 1 inch apart along the lower half of the hoop.
TIP: Tie the origami animals at different lengths, so some hang low and some hang high. This will ensure your origami cascades down the wall and doesn’t overlap.

STEP 4: You can now hang your hoop up on the wall! Use a clear stick-on hook. You can hang the top of the hoop directly into the hook for display. Adjust the lengths of thread if any of your origami is overlapping by shortening and tying a new knot.
TIP: If you are making this with your kids, get them to sign the back of their origami animal and date it. This will be a special keepsake one day.
