Design Innovations

We first met Christine in 2006 with Betty Duff on a 6800 sf whole house remodel in Edina, Mn and a couple of years later for a family room refresh in Santa Barbara. This past year as empty nesters we downsized to a 3100 sf home and again called Design Innovations to help with the main floor complete remodel. Christine by this time had taken over the business. She did a great job. We love working with her and appreciate her great eye for detail and design. Her ideas are fresh and current with consideration to our lifestyle and what we needed. The strongest recommendation any business can have is repeat customers and even though we have no plans to move at this point we wouldn't hesitate to call Christine again for a fourth project.

I have had the pleasure of working with Christine on many projects. She is professional,decisive and extremely pleasant to work with. Design Innovations has hired me to photograph many of their amazing projects. After seeing the first few projects, I realized they are no ordinary interior design company. My husband and I are working with Christine at Design Innovations to remodel our kitchen. While we have a small space to work with, Christine has been awesome at providing suggestions on different ideas to utilize our space by putting in additional cabinets and modernizing the design to include a dishwasher, new countertop/backsplash, new cabinet doors, paint, and hardware. She is wonderful to work with, easy to talk to and run ideas past and is easy to have a great relationship with! We highly recommend Christine and Design Innovations for any design/remodel projects.

We had Christine decorate our beach home. She gave us execellent recommendations, brought over samples, gave us the best customer service we have ever received with a designer. Would use her again and again!

We had Christine remodel over 1000 sq ft of the lower half of our house. Christine picked out all of the carpet, paint and furniture. I absolutely love how everything turned out! She has increased the value of our home and this has now become our favorite room in the house. We will be using her again to remodel and design our new beach house in Florida. Highly recommend!

Design Innovations is under new ownership. We had a horrible experience. A 2 month remodel went 4 months over with one problem after the next. We hired a new painter after their recommended painter did such an awful job enameling that we paid to have our house painted twice. The cabinet maker was 7 weeks behind, the blinds were mismeasured, glass in the shower was not measured correctly, someone that Design Innovations recommended put plaster down our main shower drain and our first shower in our new bathroom resulted in our new bathroom being flooded which resulted in brand new walls having to be cut apart. We dealt with this by ourselves and had to pay for this mistake. We made a contract with the former owner, but when she left prematurely and the new owner bought the business (which we we not told about) she decided not to honor the contract and we ended up paying more than half more than the contract. She also told one vendor to hold our furniture until we paid this money over our contract even tnough we had paid for it in full.

Betty and Christine are such delights to work with. When they come in to find products for their clients, they are focused and detailed. They know exactly what they are looking for, making it easy to provide them with the right piece for their projects. Each project they create is a beautiful & exciting space.
