Sierra Pacific Windows

We purchased the H3 windows because they looked great but we very much regret it. Any time the sun comes out all of the windows and doors begin making very loud popping noises which is super disturbing. If I could add a video to demonstrate how bad it is, I would. Given these windows were not cheap we are extremely disappointed and would not recommend them to anyone.

We ordered through the Westlake Village, CA location in Nov/Dec 2022 and STILL have not received our whole order as of Feb 2024 even though our contractor had promised to finish by March 2023 when we first hired him.

My sales rep convinced me to get Sierra pacific as it would save me money. He recommended vinyl. When the windows arrived they looked good. Once installed that was a different story. The finish was horrible. Can barely slide them open. God forbid my kids get stuck in a fire they are not escaping out the window. My rep reach out and I have reached out to no response. Once these windows are sold to you, your on your own. Attach are some photos I experienced. Trim cut short, order without pull string and they put it, rollers only have 1 wheel and so shallow, windows drag and showing marks. If I could do it over again I would have went with my gut and spent on something worth it.

Great company with great products and an excellent team, including service. They have an awesome product selection and high-quality finishes and materials. Highly recommend!

We purchased our Arizona custom home about 5+ years ago. Our builder selected and installed Sierra Pacific Windows in our home. We love our windows and they seem to built well and are able to handled our tough AZ summer temps . We have reached out to Sierra Pacific a couple of times for some minor service needs, and Ray and his team were so helpful and professional resolving any issues. Sierra Pacific Windows have been excellent and so has Ray and his maintenance team!

We have had the best experience with Sierra Pacific. We put all new doors and windows into our house and the level of customer service and expertise have been above all others. I recommend them every chance I get.

I ordered a screen door while ordering many many new windows. The screen door was a curiosity. It came in pieces... and I mean pieces. other than the rectangular screen door to fit a standard door width and height, everything else was in pieces that needed to be cut to size. And I mean there were many parts. The base channel that needed to be cut, hinge channel that needed to be cut, the so called "stops" that surround the door frame... the stops were sent as 3, 9 foot long pieces of extruded aluminum the needed to be cut. The handle came in pieces and even the door frame had no "hole" ready to install the handle so thjat has to be cut. To top it off, it came with directions for a R Lang manufactured door.. which was not even the right manufacturer. So wrong directions. I wanted to return the door but when I called Scott Krebs, the company sales rep, he said no returns on "custom" orders. What is "custom" about this order? It is in pieces that will require us to hire someone with the proper cutting tools to install. The door where it is to go in is standard height and width. Giving them one star is being gracious!

Very poor-quality windows and doors. Brand-new units are peeling and cracking, pieces were missing or needed sanding. Hard to open and close the windows. I would definitely not recommend.

We ordered Sierra Pacific doors and windows as part of a $50k+ package to replace our existing units during a remodel. We ordered black prefinished interiors to help save time, but the quality of the finish is not what the website claims. Paint was peeling, missing in some areas, and the underlying wood was quite rough. There will be a fair amount of touch-up work to get these looking good. The Shasta doors were a total mess: We had to return/replace 5 of the french doors for numerous issues including operable panels that would not close and jambs that were not properly assembled, There was silicone sealant unevenly applied all over the glass, missing screws, large gaps, and just poor workmanship in general. While all the doors now function properly, 4 of the 5 are randomly making loud popping noises - presumably from expansion and contraction. This noise is so loud and abrupt that it wakes us up when sleeping. Additionally, the screen door fit is sloppy and loose, and sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard when you open and close them. Very poor quality overall and definitely not what we expected when we chose Sierra Pacific. I would suggest avoiding Sierra Pacific, and to look at other brands like Pella or Marvin. Sierra Pacific cannot control the quality of the products they produce, and through our service interactions, appear uninterested in trying to meet our expectations. We now begrudgingly accepting that these are the doors and windows that we have to live with and we're hopeful (but not confident) that we won't experience additional problems as these windows age. Not the peace of mind you want when you make a window selection.

I am so disappointed in the windows the company that I bought the house from had the windows put in. Kept washing the windows streaks stayed on them. Emailed them nice to work with though. They replaced the windows but again they have streaks in them. It is in between the double pain. When sun shines on them they look terrible. Would not recommend them windows at all. Tried everything I could think of to clean them.

Built a new house and a 60 x 80 hangar with approximately $53,000 worth of Sierra Pacific windows. The windows are beautiful and were packaged nicely. Other than a few staples not being fully seated, the windows themselves were good. A couple of the windows had leaks that had to be caulked, which shouldn't happen on windows that cost this much. The most disappointing thing about these windows is the screens. The screens feel as if they are one some windows you buy on discount sale at Lowes or Home Depot. Every screen we received had small holes and tears, along with creasea in the screen material, all this was noticed right after we received the windows. Our builder knows my wife and I are picky about the details and he suggested we remove the screens immediately and take them to our secured storage area so no trades could damage them. We had months before the house was completed so we asked Sierra Pacific about replacements, at least for the 8 screens that were truly jacked-up horribly, but they told us we would have to go through our local distributor. There response was that they sent the screens to a local glads shop and had them replace the screens with better material. For the premium cost of these windows, the subpar material and unwillingness to replace the screens is unacceptable, so beware of this if you buy Sierra Pacific windows. We just finished building our hangar and installed our last 12 windows and out of those 12, eight had the same problems with their screens.

It has been a nightmare working with Sierra Pacific. We ordered windows for our new house and they arrived in terrible shape. The construction is shoddy and the material is flimsy. Every window looks like it was put together by a child. Several windows arrived malfunctioning and already require repairs (we have not even moved in yet!). There is no quality control whatsoever. Customer service does not care--they just say the windows are within their standards and they will not take them back. The windows are completely misrepresented on their website, with false descriptions touting them as the nicest windows on the market. If you want your house to look like a dilapidated dump these are the windows for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend any other window supplier over Sierra Pacific.

My Sierra Pacific windows leak! They don’t honor their guarantee. I am terribly disappointed in these windows. They were expensive. They leaked from the beginning.

This company is running a scam, or at a minimum is totally unethical. Their windows are completely defective, and they do not stand by them. They want to charge you to fix their defective products. We have them in our current home--the seventh property I have owned in this state. We have never had a window seal break until we moved into this house, where they break CONSTANTLY. We've already replaced a dozen, and we are about to replace nine more. (The normal failure rate would be about 1% in this climate, but we are about to replace our 20th window, so closer to 50% failure rate. Clearly defective in every way. The windows are all fogged and horrible looking, and they fail constantly.) Also, the service people lie to you and try to intimidate you. Our local office was terrible to us over the phone. They tried to push us into paying thousands of dollars to have the company come and replace our defective windows--which they should do for free. Basically, they are selling you something that they know doesn't work, and then charging you thousands when you call to say it's broken (again--and again and again). The customer service people are hostile and rude, and try to bully you out of your money. I have never had such a horrible experience with a consumer product. On top of it, I understand that the company is owned by a billionaire, whose business seems to be scamming ordinary people out of their money by selling them a defective product. Whatever you do, do NOT buy these windows. Run as far as you can away from this horrible company.

I would strongly recommend NOT ordering Sierra Pacific Windows. I ordered sliding doors, French door and 4 windows from them in December 2021. After waiting more than six month, the orders arrived for installation in June 2022. Unfortunately, the windows did not meet the order specifications so i returned them through the distributor. Instead of expediting the orders given the mistake on Sierra Pacific windows side, it seemed to have been put back on order. It is now February 2023 (7 month later) and I am still waiting for my new windows. In the meantime, I am finding the sliding doors of shoddy manufacturing quality with nicks that are visible to the eyes, and water leaking on the fixed side of the panel when it rains. I had contacted the Sierra Pacific representative and was informed that such leak is normal and they did not even bother to send a representative to check the issue. In addition, the screen door is coming off track, which should not happen to new sliding doors. This project is taking over a year to complete, which is inexcusable even with the supply chain issues due to COVID.

We have the best windows. Had Anderson and was really disappointed. Leaking air hard to work the latched on Anderson. Now the new H3 windows work great and my heating bill is lower. Thank You

From the time I initially reached out to Dan, he was very responsive and immediately called me back. He took all of my information down, he listened attentively to what I wanted and the functionality that was important to our house. He took the time, many times, to record videos thoroughly walk me through the various options, including the mechanisms that would work well and made alternative recommendations when I was unsure. I would highly recommend this company for all of your door and window needs. Due to supply chain issues, I do not have the windows, but am excited to receive them (hopefully) soon.

SP is an inferior product to competing high-end brands, Marvin, Anderson and even Pella. My contractor talked me into purchasing 9 SP windows, a set of double french doors and a large SP bi-fold door. I have regretted it since the day they were installed. The quality and finish is far worse than the equivalent existing Anderson windows and doors in our home. They just feel flimsy and delicate, which is obviously not desirable. The SP window locking mechanism (double latches on the sash) is also unattractive and needs constant adjustment. The finish is so sloppy that you will spend more in re-sanding, priming and painting than you would have if you chose one of the premium brands. The locking hardware of the windows is very poor quality as well. Finally, their service is non-existent. My windows and doors were delivered with the wrong hardware and without weatherstripping over 5 months ago and they still haven't been able to remedy. Bad product.

8 of the 14 sash windows we had installed now have cracks in them, only 7 months after installation. Obviously there was a manufacturing error and, after much work, they have finally offered to replace all 14. But they are doing nothing to help with the cost of repainting them, so our beloved contractor is now spending his own money out of pocket to fix their mistake. We're still in talks with them but so far they seem unwilling to actually stand by the damage caused with their faulty product. And we are wondering whether we ever should have replaced our windows in the first place.

23 windows and doors sent all the way to new zealand. All arrived perfectly constructed snd glazed with 0 issues. Looking forward to the next project

SPW has decreased their quality dramatically while increasing their price significantly. I recently had a project with two of their multifold door and window units. The door system was 17k the window system was 7k. On both systems SPW could not even take the care to ensure the rail and stile of the individual units were aligned. The pilot holes were not drilled square nor were they accurately placed. The silicone looked like it was slopped on by a drunk monkey. The unit was incorrectly labeled. I could go on. I have used SPW for many projects over the years but never again. They have gone down the toilet. Take your business somewhere else!

We have damaged windows in our new house one had a screw coming in through the track from the other window, one has a scuff on the outside and some damaged weather strips. The rude sierra pacific windows tec pounded out the screw and filled with the wrong color caulking. Not a satisfactory repair. Then on the scuff he just chipped at it with a chisel. Again not a professional repair. Very disappointed with our windows and customer service. Also he showed up without the new weather strips. Stay clear of this company.

Be advised that customer service and support from Sierra Pacific appears to be non-existent after the point of sale. After spending almost 70K on windows, we were tersely informed that we had to contact our supplier for help to troubleshoot a problem with windows that don’t close. Very upset about our predicament, having chosen the wrong window company.

There’s no way to get in touch with this company. My brand new windows are leaking, and I’ve tried calling every number listed for them (they don’t work), the links to contact them on their site are broken, and their contact form gives an error message when you submit a request.

Decided to replace windows in our home. Sierra Pacific was recommended. Several months after installation, the top inside glass had small tiny crack. At first thought it was dirt. As a few more months passed, we noticed it getting larger with crack going up. Called company where we purchased. They opened warranty claim with Sierra Pacific. Sadly Sierra Pacific came back to say not covered under warranty. We even had an installer come out and they said clearly a manufacturing defect. The solution we were told was to replace the inside glass panel. But we paid for new windows and if we do this we won't have the mfg seal. Now the crack gets bigger. We make sure to tell everyone that sees it, "Don't buy Sierra Pacific Windows as they don't stand behind their product." So I can spend more money on bad windows and replace or replace with a reputable window company and not have matching windows. Don't buy from this company.

I have been a home builder for over 35 years. I purchased the Sierra Pacific Windows through my local Ace Hardware Store. The salesperson promoted the product due to the exceptional warranty. This was new construction and I spent over $40,000 on Windows and Doors . In less than 1 year the powder coated paint on three of my sliding glass doors has delaminated. I touched one up with the paint kit. SP replaced one door but all the labor was on me to install the new door. It cost me $250 to have the old door removed and the new door sanded, stained, sealed and installed. I have a second door that also needs to be replaced. The replacement door is sitting in my garage waiting to be installed by SP. It has been over 40 days and they are non-responsive to even scheduling the repair. I understand things are difficult right now but the lack of communication is very unprofessional. There is no reason why this appointment can't be scheduled. My sales person has been emailing the company weekly for me with no results. If I had to do it again I would never purchase this product from SP.

We got 9' doors to replace our old Pella doors from the 1970's with transoms. We are enjoying not hearing every sound outside anymore and the visability that these large doors allow. So far these seem very high quality and we are very happy with our purchase.

I am resorting to this forum for expressing my frustration with Sierra Pacific because I am getting no response or remedy from the Irvine store. Our new house is 9 months old and we are avoiding 3 doors because they either won't open easily, won't lock consistently or will not lock at all. We choose SP for our home because of the advertised quality, looks and customer service; obviously we are not getting what we thought. As lovely as they are, I would not recommend them to anyone. 3/23/22 update. Their service team did come out and fixed one of the problems so we can use that door. One other door was adjusted but has gone back to not working well and the biggest problem has not be fixed. SP blames the contractor and the contractor blames the installer and the installer won't answer my phone calls. So we are stuck with a glass door that I have to kick to get to open.

I had a terrible experience with Sierra Pacific about 4 years ago. I purchased their new aluminum clad wood windows and they were poorly manufactured. Even the technician that came out said they were having problems with them. I wound up taking three separate days off from work for them to come inspect the windows and continue to give me the run around. All they did was stall and make promises they did not keep. Finally I gave up. I have to use air block caulk and V-strip on these windows. I would not recommend this company at all as they did not honor their warranty and were difficult to deal with.

We really appreciate Sierra Pacific's dedication to sustainability, especially in the way they manage their forests. Their interior and exterior finish choices are wider than any other window manufacturer we have seen, including their style and sticking options. Sierra Pacific window sizing increments and part number system are logical, intuitive and easy to use. We are also impressed with the construction of their windows as well as their hardware and style. We have used Sierra Pacific windows on two projects thus far and are looking forward to the next!

We has a Sierra Pacific Door technician out today to adjust some doors that were sticking occasionally after four years of use. We have really liked the doors and windows. I offered to pay the invoice, and said "no charge." I am impressed, and would highly recommend Sierra Pacific Windows and Doors!

In searching for a manufacturer of new, high quality aluminum clad wood windows, my contractor suggested I contact Sierra Pacific Windows. I was very familiar with the big name manufacturers with the large marketing budgets, but hadn't heard of Sierra Pacific. As I came to learn, they are a lumber manufacturer who provides a lot of wood to the other window manufacturers, so they have the benefit of lower supply costs, which translates to lower selling costs. I was extremely pleased with the value I received, the quality of the windows, and the level of service I received working with the sales rep.

Sierra Pacific has been providing exterior windows and doors in our homes for a number of years. The Sierra Pacific ethic is on point and their craftsmanship is outstanding. As a builder, we were able to take a tour of their facility and confirmed our belief in their quality.
