Atlanta Basements & Decks

**STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY** This has been a nightmare to my family and many other families working with Atlanta Basement and Decks. First off let me start off by saying the owner - Chad (Chadly) Allen is a liar and a crook! We signed the contract to complete our basement and deck in August 2020 with a finish date per the contract of December 2020. Our Basment was NEVER COMPLETED! Contractors would show up once a week if that. He would have his “project managers” lie on behalf of his company - Tim and Nate (his brother or half brother). As a matter of fact his whole staff would lie. This goes from Heather - office manager to Kimberly (not sure her position other than his girlfriend). The deck project was never started even though we paid a down payment(half). The basement project was 60% completed and we paid this liar 90% of the money! We called and tried to get them to come and finish with no luck. My husband personally spoke with them and Chad told him that they would get the basement finished but again another lie and nothing was done. In the end we ended up getting a lawyer and taking Atlanta Basement and Decks to arbitration and won the judgement for over 70K! They have until 1/1/2022 to pay us. If they do not pay us there will be judgement in every county that they do business in against them. In the legal process we also learned from many sub contractors that they did not pay them either. We also spoke with multiple other customers that they did the exact same thing to. Chad even had the nerve to tell a customer if they tried to sue him that he would just declare bankruptcy and create another company! This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They make promises they do not keep. They are the type of company that people warn you about. So beware!! The owner of this company is Chad Allen. He told me on Friday that he plans to set up a new company under a different name. My basement was supposed to start March 2021 and be completed by August 2021. As of today I don’t even have sheet rock up. I can’t even tell you how many countless lies I’ve been told by Chad, Tim, and Kim. I wish I knew when I signed the contract with Atlanta Basements and Decks all the things I know now because I would have ran away from this company and it’s owner as fast as I could and never signed a contract. I know there are many others like me that have had several thousands of dollars taken from them by this company. Whether it be paying for material that they don’t have in their possession, subs not being paid even though the homeowner already paid for the work, and so many other situations. Beware!!!! Don’t just look at the business name and reviews look under the name of the owner and see all the lawsuits and judgments against him/them. Before I signed my contract I checked out his reviews on several supposably reliable websites but, that wasn’t enough.
