“This was my first ever time commissioning curtains in my first ever house, and I can absolutely say that Sonia Whiteman made the experience a pleasure. I knew nothing about fabrics, linings interlinings, pleats, returns... Sonia talked me through all the options. She measured not once, not twice, but three times, and held my hand through everything, including putting up poles, return hooks and hold-backs. I really can't recommend her highly enough, she is an extremely skilled and careful seamstress, and a lovely person to deal with.”

“The Shutter Shack have recently completed their 3rd installation in our home and once again we have have extremely pleased with their work. To have them expertly measured, ordered and fitted took a lot of the stress out of our purchase. “I was suggested this company by my interior designer, whom speaks very highly of them - i was naturally in uncharted territory when it came to ordering so many different curtains and blinds for each room of my house, as i didn't really have any idea about fabrics and fitting systems etc. Thankfully Marcia and Sophie were on hand to help me, the after sales has been brilliant and most importantly my house looks fantastic! Attentive to detail and diligent in execution Christine gives her time generously to all her customers and delivers her expert advice with great humour. Christine really listens and tunes in to personal preferences and tastes but is happy to guide if you're hesitating or unsure. The linen curtains she has made for us are absolutely lovely, the blinds she has supplied have been great. I always love visiting the shop in Bruton for a chat and to seek inspiration from her stock of well chosen fabric samples.”

“Sacha made 2 Roman blinds for my bedroom. She came to visit me with a very large choice of fabrics and to measure for each blind. Ordering was easy and Sacha kept me informed of when the blinds would be ready. The finished products are beautiful, very well made and fit perfectly. I am extremely happy with the service I received and the finished product. I certainly won't hesitate in asking her to make more blinds in the future.”
