“In the spring of 2018 Ideal Home Design completed an entire main floor renovation at our home, which included walls coming down, all new flooring, a completely open concept kitchen, renovated bathroom and laundry room, and a fireplace facelift. Annette provided an ideal amount of expertise during the planning and design process. She offered many suggestions about how to improve style elements as well as where we could save some money, all while keeping our "wish list" and budget in mind. The renovation took nine weeks to complete, which was only one week longer than estimated. The only reason for that one week difference was due to unforeseen fixes that were required in order to level our subfloor and ensure the outcome of their work was of the highest quality. The team of contractors worked every day, used their skill and knowledge to overcome many hurdles that they encountered in our 40 year old home, and always made sure quality was their top priority. They even went above and beyond to replace plumbing, electrical & HVAC where it was needed and suggest other improvements we may appreciate in our renovated home (at no additional costs). We could always contact them without an issue and they were always responsive. The final completion was also painless as they worked with us to complete all of the finishing touches quickly until we were completely satisfied. Ideal Home Design took care of the entire project from beginning to end, including all trades and inspections/permits. We are so happy with the work they did. It is beautiful, functional and of the highest quality. I will continue recommending them to friends and will call them to assist with other projects down the road!!”

“We retained John to construct a main floor family room addition and do a complete kitchen renovation in January 2007. We also used him in 2009 to renovate our master and second floor bathrooms. The bathrooms were gutted and compeletly renovated entirely by John. With the main floor addition, John organized the necessary subtrades for framing, siding, etc. For all projects, he did all of the interior finishing and his work was meticulous and detailed. He was wonderful in assisting with picking finishes and provided helpful guidance throughout the construction process. He finished all projects on time and on budget as quoted. HIs work has stood the test of time and the vigors of daily living and looks as good now as it did when the projects were newly completed. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with his work and highly recommend him.”

The design he created was great and we are so pleased with now things turned out - the room is completely transformed! “2nd time around with Sosna and their team. Current project was 3 bathroom renovations but because of time restrictions we decided on completing main bathroom now and deferring 2 remaining bathrooms until a latter date. Project was for complete renovation including new fixtures and painting. Project started and finished when indicated. Workmanship, again, was perfect. “We recently used TM3 for renovating our basement and were very pleased with the results. “We had an excellent experience working with Carter Fox on the renovation of our home. Our vision was to re-convert a much-neglected, animal-infested, three-unit house, into a 5- bedroom home for our family of six. And we wanted to do this in about 3 months on a moderate budget. It was a tall order. James' involvement began at the outset of the project. He visited the property with us prior to purchase to have a look at the bones of the house and provide an initial estimate as to time and cost. From there, my husband and I worked closely with his team to complete the project on time, and on budget a short 14 weeks later. The end result was a beautiful home perfectly suited to our needs. Our immense satisfaction with Carter Fox relates to three key elements - collaboration, communication, and end product. First, collaboration. We had a strong vision for our home, and wanted to be significantly involved in the project. We worked closely with James and his team throughout the renovation to ensure that we were able to realize our vision, while staying on budget. James was committed to honouring our budget and would often find and implement creative and pragmatic solutions to ensure that our priorities were realized within budget. James also patiently tolerated changes to the design and scope of the project and bent over backwards to accommodate these changes. I always felt James and his team were committed to making sure we got what we wanted. We maintained a friendly, productive, and mutually respectful working relationship throughout the renovation. In fact, I can say we actually enjoyed renovating because of the positive relationship we had with James and his team. Second - communication. James kept us regularly apprised of the status of the work and budget, potential delays, and the cost and delay implications of decisions we were making. We stopped by the work site regularly and maintained very regular contact by email, phone, and text. James and his team could always be reached, were responsive to our inquiries and ensured that we were kept apprised of the work schedule and when decisions would need to be made.
