“We had just moved to a new house and I was 8 months pregnant when we asked Living Wood to make a headboard for us. Andy and Anna were amazing to work with. They were great at listening to what my husband and I wanted but had suggestions and ideas to help us in the design process. I was most excited about their suggestions for which wood to use. They found us amazing old barn board to make the headboard with. It has its own unique story, this wood, in each grain and line. This is what living wood means to us now, wood with its own life story. I also love how Andy made it with attention to detail and those little finishing touches like pegs where the headboard was screwed together. We are so happy with the final product, a beautiful headboard that is the centrepiece of our room! And the day after our headboard was delivered, our baby arrived too. Perfect timing!”

“Really pleased with the way our project turned out. I have endless compliments on our barn doors and inquiries as to where to order them. At first we only wanted Barn Door Hardware in the Toronto area and thought we could take on the project ourselves. Not! After speaking with the owner, Mark, he educated us on not only that the barn doors need to be properly installed but the hardware is just as important as it needs to withstand very heavy weight doors and to run smoothly and safely. He explained how his barn door hardware are precision laser cut, honed & assembled with top quality bearings in addition to the nylon interiors for quiet & smooth operation. ( I texted the owner for this info again as it was what sold us). We didn't want a rickity door or something that would fall off or look uneven. We decided to have him do the entire job, making, staining and installing the doors. The price point was fair as we initially didn't realize we had to remove some crown moulding in order to accommodate the entire span of the door when open. He took on the challenge like a champ. So after our barn doors turned out so well, we ordered a custom stencilled coffee table which just adds a "je ne sais quoi" to the space, so loving it! Takes it to a whole other level. Mark the owner is a true artist and if you are lucky enough to have him create a door or a piece of furniture, you will know that it's built to last with quality and pride of workmanship. He really is "da man"! I hope this review helps him, totally stand up guy! Cheers!”
