“I just completed a remodel of my pool and landscaping with the Alder Group, and simply stated I could not be happier. From the first meeting until the project was completed, Don always looked for ways to improve the project and at the same time ways to minimize the cost of the project. His keen eye for design saw needed simple improvements that were relatively inexpensive but had a massive effect on the overall beauty of the project. Perhaps most importantly when the manufacturer delivered the wrong custom coping, and I worried that we would not be able to meet the deadline of a large party that was planned for my backyard; Don found a way to resolve the issue and keep the job on schedule. Don is truly one of the good guys.”

“Neli, Stan, Todd, and others at Interactive Landscapes are fantastic. Interactive completely remodeled our front and back yards, installed a large Batu (wood) deck, a hot tub, a BBQ island with built-in plumbing and gas, artificial grass field, concrete and tiles, and beautiful landscaping/plants, automated drip and spray irrigation, and automated and manual LED lighting. They had great and tasteful ideas provided 3D, color/textured computer drawings to help us visualize the design. They suggested strategies to save money on the design. They led and personally worked on every detail. They instantly respond to questions verbally, in text, or email. We have put a lot of work on our house and hired more than 15 contractors for a large amount of work inside and outside. Interactive Landscapes is by far the best contractor with which i have ever worked. Their prices are highly competitive and their quality is just top notch.--the best i have seen. I cannot say enough. They can do it all.”

“I recently had the pleasure of working with Nicole Fox Landscape Architecture for a major landscaping project at my home in San Mateo, CA. The project budget was over $200,000 and involved the design and construction of a new deck, paver patio, landscaping, lighting, irrigation, and fencing. Being a construction professional myself, who routinely manages projects from conceptual design through completion, I had high expectations for the design team and contractor selected for the project. From our first meeting, Nicki did an excellent job at helping us identify and communicate the goals of the project. Thoughtful questions during the conceptual design phase produced a great dialogue between us, allowing for a collaborative experience where we could explore many design options. I was very precise in how I wanted our new deck to function. From the construction of the railing system, to the placement of the support posts, I wanted it to be perfect. Nicki was very patient and created multiple space plan options, allowing us to fine tune our design and arrive at the ideal configuration. Not only did Nicki collaborate well with me and my wife, she was also very open to the ideas of our contractor. She took the time to appreciate the opinions of others and provide feedback that allowed for great teamwork throughout the project. The detail of her construction documents were essential to the contractor’s bid and minimized any surprises encountered during construction. Nicki far exceeded all of my expectations. I would highly recommend Nicki for future projects and am grateful she was able to help us create an amazing landscape.”

“Aitken & Associates considered all of the elements we wished to include in the landscape of our home, together with the grading plan of our lot, and came up with a design that could accommodate our wishes. We have been enjoying the result for 10 years now, with my only regret being the things I changed on my own from the written design plan as we were executing, thinking I had just come up with "better" idea. Wrong! They know what they're doing, and you can be sure its been thought all the way through. Everyone in the office was great to work with, returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner, and showing up for scheduled appointments on time. Our design plan was done when they said it would be, and we went straight to the City to get our permits. Which brings up another thing: Aitken & Associates was clearly familiar with our City ordinances because upon review by the City, there was nothing in our landscape design plan that we couldn't get permitted. We were very pleased with Aitken & Associates.”
