“We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend Timothy (Tim) Strosser of Studio 810 Design as a designer and general contractor for home improvement. In 2012, we met Tim at the Philadelphia Home Show, and were impressed by Tim’s portfolio of previous designs and building projects. On his first visit to our home in the Philadelphia suburbs Tim impressed us again with his instant understanding of our home improvement needs. We wanted to build a new bathroom in a little-used space that was attached to our master bedroom, but Tim suggested a much better solution; building an addition to the house’s second floor, and placing the bathroom in it. This way we got a fabulously looking new master bathroom that is an envy of our friends and neighbors, and avoided a mistake of building a bathroom that would be to small and not convenient. Timothy also designed and built for us a mudroom in front of our house, completely redesigned and rebuilt our patio, and changed the siding all around the house. We are very satisfied with the quality of his design and workmanship of his crew. Tim is a very experienced project manager, and he worked hard to accommodate our specific requirements during the project and to adjust all the logistics accordingly. He was able to keep the project deadlines despite very unfavorable weather conditions, the climax of which was Hurricane Sandy. During the project we occasionally changed our mind regarding some details (e.g., selection of tiles), and Tim was always ready to either accept our new ideas or, when they were not practical, offer very good alternatives. During the project we developed a trusting, friendly relationship with Timothy and many of his crew members. We were so satisfied with our collaboration with Tim that, after the first big project was completed, we tasked him with a couple of smaller projects in our house (e.g., staircase renovation), and outside (landscaping). We are sure that, with his great artistic taste, his extensive technical experience, and his understanding of individual clients’ characters and preferences, Timothy can exceed expectations of the most demanding clients. We already recommended the services of Studio 810 to our neighbors, and we recommend them to you.”

From start to finish, Sam was super pleasant to work with, and went above and beyond to insure that we were happy with our project. Sam was a great listener and communicator and incorporated all of our wishes into her design, while introducing us to new innovative ideas. She helped with the selection of all materials, worked seamlessly with our contractor and designer, and gave great attention to detail. “I have been delighted with the results of two projects where I used Suzanne's services. The first was a family room remodel with new built-ins, fireplace surround, lighting, flooring and furniture. The second was a master bath remodel with large custom shower, double vanity, new tile and flooring, cabinetry, lighting and dressing area. “Wyant Architecture created beautiful and enriching living spaces for our family. We have worked with Jeff and Maria on many projects in our Philadelphia townhouse (circa 1876) ranging from straightforward renovations of existing bathrooms, to a kitchen renovation which involved moving walls and opening up sight lines, to a very complex addition. Jeff and Maria have an outstanding design sense retaining older features and incorporating contemporary elements in our home. In addition to everything else, Maria is particularly savvy about kitchen design and functionality. Their aesthetic guidance on the selection of materials – wood, tile, glass, metals, paint colors – is invaluable. They are visionary and able to problem solve creatively. They are able to propose creative design solutions that are well within budget. Jeff and Maria have excellent technical skills. Their attention to detail upfront makes the pricing and construction phases go as smoothly and as efficiently as possible. Working with Jeff and Maria is a wonderful experience. They listen attentively and respond promptly and creatively. They collaborate well with everyone – client, contractors, structural engineers, City Hall – and when necessary are strong advocates for their clients. We almost hate to be done with our architectural projects as we miss our regular interaction with them!”

“As new house owners, we left a condo living and decided to move into a house. We ultimately decided to purchase an older house and customize it to our tastes and needs. I had used Houzz.com to source some architects to help us out. We found Robert and a few others but it was Robert that accompanied me to house inspection for one and then also accompanied me to view the house we ended up purchasing. From start to finish, he was there. We utilized Houzz.com albums to collect photos and ideas to share so he could get a better sense of our needs and wants. He managed pretty much everything from the contractors to the purchasing of items. He also has a great eye for detail so when he conducted the final walk (we were traveling) and approved it, I didn't worry about him missing anything. As new home owners new to renovation, we did go over budget and in the end, we did have to omit some of the items/detailing that we wanted which was frustrating but Robert provided us alternatives so that we could discuss and decide. In the end, with the budget issue and not having the home 100% to what we wanted, we are still very happy with the project. People who have seen the home before are amazed at the results. We are very happy to have found Robert. As non-creative home owners who have never renovated a home, we would have never come up with some of the concepts he produced. He enabled us to customize this house enough that it meets our aesthetic and functional needs. Robert is very diligent and detailed. I think he may have been too detailed for us (ha) but as a result of me giving in to him, we have a stand out master bathroom. I view our home a great learning experience into the area of renovation. I now have Robert to use as a standard.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Rasmussen/Su on a kitchen renovation. Our home was built in 1879, and it had a cramped and dark kitchen. Kevin & Vivian really listened to what mattered to us (having a space that works for an active family and opens the kitchen up to the rest of the first floor) and they were able to incorporate those things into the design. They have experience with historic homes and local regulations and took care of the arduous permit process. They were there during construction when we ran into the unexpected things you discover in an old house. They also helped with the design details and decisions you have to make during a project. We now have an amazing space where everyone gathers to cook, do homework, and just be together.”

“We have worked with Adrienne on 2 projects and have been delighted by her professionalism. Over the past 2 years we have looked to get work done in our house 3 times. Hiring Adrienne as your architect, you will have the confidence that you have someone planning for your space to live in, taking in consideration your lifestyle and taste. Adrienne has an eye for all the details that you (or your contractor, no matter how great) would never think of. She anticipates what will make you happy and makes practical and creative recommendations about it (from small things like the placement of a hook, of a plug , direction of your shower, or wider more structural aspects like the drawing of your cabinets, design of a shower, etc...) all these details make your everyday life much easier and they are worth every penny. Adrienne also set us right from the beginning with realistic expectations for our budget. While it costs more to use an architect's services, you’ll know everyday why it was better than not doing it and won’t regret it”
