We have used WA Bentz for a major renovation and chose the team again to build our new home. They turned our dream into a reality! Bill was very helpful with creative ideas to further incorporate the overall design. The entire team was professional, honest and reliable, which is a rarity in South FL. My partner & I contracted with W.A. Bentz Construction in 2011 for new home construction in Fort Lauderdale. With the help of our architectural team, Tuthill Associates, the complete proposal - from demolition of an existing structure, through construction of a modern 3,000 sf home - went out to bid to three general contractors. After the bids were received, compared, and references checked, we opted for Bentz Construction and have never regretted the decision. In addition to two gut renovations, this was our third experience with building a new home. Under the best circumstances, building a new house can be a stressful experience for a homeowner. Regardless of how many decisions the homeowner is willing to delegate to others in the process, there is always room to make mistakes. Fortunately those risks are reduced substantially when you've hired a team of professionals with extensive experience and a great reputation. From my experience, when problems do arise -and if anyone ever tells you they built a new home without any problems whatsoever, they're full of baloney - it is the response to the problem that separates good contractors from great contractors. I don't want to sound like an ad agency with a lot of hyperbole, but the thing that really sets Bentz apart from the competition is their passion for what they do. Bentz Construction recently completed the construction of our custom home in the Las Olas area of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Bill Bentz and his team, led by his on-site leaders - James, Mark and Peter, and his office manager, Stephanie, were great to deal with. They were responsive and always pleasant. While custom construction is challenging, we often laughed together. This was a relatively fun project! We'd do it again. The project began in late November 2011 with a city permit, then pilings and moved through the various phases of construction on plan. We received the CO early in 2013...on schedule. Bentz arranged some great subcontractors for the various trades. His team provided lots of details around the construction process, including as much financial information as we wanted. Overall, we are very pleased with the final product. Bentz built a beautiful home. It's now been a couple of years since we moved in. We still love the place like the first day. We're also pleased that Bentz and his team are still ready to come to the house and help with whatever the issue might be.

Bill Bentz was committed to our project from day one and gave us his personal attention every phase of the construction. He is very focused and listens to what you are wanting to create then helps you to make the concept work. He was involved with design, numbers and finding skilled craftsmen to make our home unique and authentic. Bill and his team exceeded on every level and were a pleasure to work with.
