Val Glitsch, Architect

STUDIO The Architecture Studio of Val Glitsch, FAIA is dedicated to the practice of architecture as a creative endeavor, recognizing the power of good design to improve the quality of our lives and vibrancy of our experiences. The clarity of the spatial relationships in Val’s work has been broadly recognized by the professional community. Her materials are selected and artfully detailed with attention to beauty, longevity, and a conscious responsibility to the environment. Stylistically, the work is modern in character. Her work has focused primarily on residential projects, both custom and affordable housing, but her portfolio includes several commercial, religious and community projects. In 1995, in recognition of her contributions to the profession, she was elected to the American Institute of Architects (AIA) College of Fellows. As lead designer and project architect, Val is the client’s primary contact, staying with the project from beginning to the end. After a successful thirty-year career in her native Texas, Val relocated to Eugene, Oregon in 2015, where she now practices.
