Lauren, my salesperson, and Mark, the store manager, repeatedly went the extra mile to make my experience purchasing a dining room table at Sklar Furnishings an outstanding experience. Initially they worked very hard to locate the perfect table for me and to customize this table to meet all of my requirements. Lauren even made a home visit with samples of the best finish choices for the table top and base to see which selections would be most effective with my other furnishings. When my table arrived from Italy, it was rigorously inspected by the Sklar team and when it did not meet their exacting standards, they immediately ordered a new one to be made and offered to lend me another table until my new table arrived. Lauren stayed on top of the case and kept me updated until my perfect new table arrived. I was very impressed with the extraordinary amount of attention Lauren and Mark gave me to ensure that I got a table perfectly designed for my space. Also, I was impressed with Sklar’s customer service when the initial table that they received did not meet their quality standard when it arrived at their warehouse. Their interaction with me and their immediate replacement of the table that did not meet their standards left me with a very favorable impression of Sklar Furnishings.

just now Olivia is the best ! We had a 4 bedroom condo to furnish and Olivia provided outstanding service, great design consultation and gave us great pricing and we had such a fun time working with her. Olivia was very patient with us as we are a picky with a desire for mid century modern, minamalist style with a kind of Scandanavian feel. She really got a sense of what we were looking for and curated great options for us.We furnished the entire apartment with Olivia. Also the ability to ship to south carolina and store the furniture until construction of our condo is finished was important and Olivia and Sklar furnishings was able to come thru everytime. Really a wonderful experience, we can say with complete confidence that working with Olivia we are COMPLETELY SATISFIED!!!!

That my experience with Sklar was disappointing, is an understatement. I'd suggest that you do business with a company that sincerely believes in customer service. I bought an uncomplicated wood 'waterfall' table in a dark walnut color. The saleswoman took a photo of the color sample I'd brought along, and attached the same to my order. Sklar didn't send a color swatch for my approval before delivering the table. When Devon, Sklar's delightful delivery person, unwrapped the table, he noticed that the table's color was many shades lighter than the dark walnut wood sample. He took a photo of the my wood sample against the Sklar table for the company's records. When I spoke w/the salesperson, she reminded me that she hadn't taken the original order. (The original salesperson retired.) Then said that Sklar's wood-workers tried hard on my behalf. She told me that the nature and pattern of each wood varies, that there was always going to be a color difference. Finally, she asked if I could make the table work. I explained that I couldn't. That the Sklar table was going to be in close proximity to my dark walnut wood table. That I would need the Sklar table re-stained. I asked if Sklar would do that. She said 'no.' I asked if Sklar would give me a partial credit to help with the cost I was going to incur to have the table stripped and re-stained. Again, she said 'no.' I asked to speak to 'Mrs. Sklar.' The salesperson told me she'd get back to me after she spoke w/management. When the saleswoman phoned back she said that Sklar would be happy to issue a credit for the table and pick it up. I arranged for the same. And then I had to deal with the delivery/pick-up dept.. First they told me there was a delay b/c of "red tape," which they needed to "cut through." Then, without the least bit of irony, they told me that Sklar was doing their best to accommodate me.

I just purchased an American leather lounge chair and Sara was an excellent representative. I felt that she worked diligently on behalf of the customer, gave us good guidance and represented Sklar in a professional way. On my next visit I certainly will schedule it so that she can be our sales rep.She stayed in touch with us and followed up on any questions we had. She gets our highest recommendations.

This store has unique pieces and beautifully hand crafted. The service was second to none with Gail who provided excellent suggestions and guided us in our selections. We are repeat customers who continue to appreciate the customer service Gail offers and the exquisite furniture Sklar offers.

Our family purchased a dining room set with Swivel chairs, paying over $2000.00 for the set. 3 1\2 years later the fake leather is pealing off, each and every chair. When we brought it to Sklars attention in early September, they passed the "buck" to other people, who in turn forgot to contact us. After waiting almost 2 months for help in the matter, I was told NOTHING could be done. Below is their reply; We have been consulting with Peressini to repair the Doris chairs you had inquired about. I’m sorry to inform you that these chairs cannot be repaired. If you are interested in purchasing new ones, please come back to the store to see Kathy. She is aware of the situation and may be able to offer a “reselection discount”. $2000.00 for garbage that Sklar isn't standing behind. Is the kind of company you want to do business with. We will never patronize their establishment again. Be aware of "good" companies that could care less about after sale communication and integrity. Be careful dealing with them

Recently, we purchased several items from Sklar's Furnishings. It is quite obvious that they have great buyers and the latest modern furnishings. It is a first class operation and you are treated in that manner. What is making our experiences truly exceptional is our sales/ decorator consultant, Gail Bennett. She is knowledgeable, experienced, resourceful and a truly nice, calm person. She helped us put things together so that our house looks like a home that makes us proud and reflects my wife and me. We appreciated her suggestions and she came to our home so she could see how things would work together.

Bianca Torres is such a pleasure to work with! She is so personable and gets my vision. When I bring my clients in she is always so professional, knowledgeable and has such a great eye. She is such a wonderful sales women who I can tell loves her job and is always so welcoming!
