We engaged Rendon Remodeling and Design to replace our aging deck with a screened porch. We discussed several design options starting first with our concept. Rendon recommended modifications to our concept which improved the look and functionality of the entire project. Once we settled on the design, we needed to work together to obtain a waiver through the county zoning board. After a long and tedious process, we were given the green light to proceed. Rendon began demolition and construction which took about 2 ½ months. They kept us informed regarding progress and at several points in the process discussed project details to ensure we were getting exactly what we wanted. The resulting screened porch, decking, and stairway are a fantastic new area of our house. We enjoy the space tremendously and are continually amazed at the design and details of the new porch. Rendon’s innovative design concepts, high standards, attention to detail, excellent communications, and friendly team are to be commended. We highly recommend them to anyone we can.

We recently completed a master bath remodel with Rendon; the experience was universally positive. Rendon is a second generation family business, currently run by Mike (design/estimating/"business side") and Joe (construction-side). Working with the team, including their in-house designer Amy, was efficient, comprehensive, and friendly. We had several visits at our house, as well as the tile, plumbing, etc., centers, before settling on a detailed design and moving on to the contract. The contracting process was smooth, as was the various permitting. Once work began, the space was sectioned off from the bedroom (even though we moved into one of the guest rooms for the duration), and demolition began. Rendon uses a combination of their own employees and a few specialized subcontractors they have worked with for many years. It is a clear team approach. We found everyone in our home to be professional, clean, polite, and hard-working. Joe (Sensitive Information Hidden) was on site almost every day; not all day, but more than just showing his face. Joe was making sure that everything was going as it should, and that we were happy. I am a big fan of "managing by walking around," and Joe has that down pat. We had a couple of change orders (both "while you are here" things) that were fairly priced and that did not impact the schedule. The minor punch list items were taken care of promptly and without any complaint. In fact, Joe probably "caught" more punch items than we did---he really wanted the job to be perfect. The finished job is stunning, and better than we had hoped. We cannot recommend Rendon highly enough, and will happy use them on future projects.

We had a fantastic experience with Rendon Remodeling. They came highly recommended from a neighbor and they did not disappoint. The job was done very well and at a competitive price. Their customer service was excellent across the board and the onsite crew was great to work with. An example of their customer service is the time we had a challenge with our cabinets several years after the job was complete. My wife called and told Rendon and the project manager, Joey Rendon, came over immediately to fix the issue. This was years after the job completion and out of warranty. Excellent service. As another example of the culture at Rendon, a friend of our family to whom we referred Rendon was so comfortable with their team that she went to work for them. This person doesn't need the money, she went to work for Rendon because she likes the people. That says a lot about a company. I recommend them most emphatically.

Rendon Remodeling is a long-standing customer with Ferguson Enterprises. They are super organized and do such fabulous work, whether it is a small remodel to additions or a whole house reno, they can do it all. Rendon's Team is super knowledgeable and patient with their clients' questions and concerns. I would give my highest recommendation! Rendon Remodeling did a kitchen bump-out and remodel. Excellent design, held our hand through the whole process. They even came back years later to fix little things that had gotten misaligned. My wife has referred them to many in the NOVA area.

We used Rendon Remodeling & Design to remodel our bathroom and add a walk-in closet. We were happy with the results—both the bathroom and the new closet look great! We were also happy with the design input we received, how responsive everyone was to any questions or concerns we had, and the transparency of communication about materials and timing. It was a pleasure working with them, and we would work with them again in the future if we had any other plans to remodel another part of our house.

We liked our current home and location but really wanted more space. We elected to remodel with the addition of a 350 square foot family/breakfast room with a climate controlled foundation/storage area, new composite deck, structural change to the basement, new kitchen counter design/replacement, new kitchen back-splash, and refinishing of main level floors. We selected Rendon Remodeling and Design based on a recommendation from a neighbor and meetings with Mike and Joey Rendon. We liked that Rendon was a smaller family owned business and very much got the sense that they would provide the service and quality we desired. Communications and schedule management were excellent and facilitated by the use of Buildertrend construction management software. The cost was very close to the initial estimates and, other than requested modifications, did not change through the end of the project. Joey Rendon provided oversight and management of the day-to-day construction activities. Joey was involved in all phases of the project ensuring continuity. Once the project started we had almost daily communications. The tempo of the work was outstanding, things really moved along and were always on schedule. The quality of the materials and workmanship was very high. The construction went very smoothly, no drama. The project is complete and we are really enjoying the space. The interior and exterior look great and are exactly what we envisioned. The exterior looks natural and organic. Joey was able to get a perfect match on siding/roofing /trim, etc. Looking at the exterior you would never know the additions was not part of the original design. Having the additional family/breakfast room space as well as the other interior modifications to open up the existing space have transformed the livability of the house. We contracted Rendon Remodeling based on recommendations and their reputation for delivering a high quality product and service at fair price. They exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier with their work. We would not hesitate to call them for any future remodeling needs and highly Recommend Rendon Remodeling.

I worked with the Rendon team at the height of the pandemic to remodel my primary bathroom, add a traditional (dry) sauna to my rec room and add floor-to-ceiing built-in cabinets in my rec room. It’s such a privilege to own a home, and then to be able to remodel it to your liking is just the best. As the original homeowner, my experience with the builder back then was enough to put me off the idea of any kind of remodeling for a very long time (20 years). Rendon completely changed that for me. For my primary bathroom, I had a specific wish list: a curbless shower with a glass panel but no door; move two sinks that were on two separate walls to a third wall; a double vanity with feet, to look like furniture rather than a large cabinet sitting on the floor; two types of floor tile laid out in a particular way; a freestanding tub to replace a corner Jacuzzi tub; and large recessed medicine cabinets that look like regular mirrors hanging on a wall. I got everything I wanted. However, there was so much more that had to be thought out: the wall tile and the edge finish for that tile, the floor and wall tile grout, the fixtures, sink style, countertop material. A poor choice on any of these other items could have ruined the look, but the Rendon team absorbed what I liked and didn’t like and steered me to choices that I wouldn’t have considered on my own but that ended up being very harmonious with and enhanced my must-have items. Their tile installer is phenomenal. Once they were on-site, it was clear that my walls were badly warped and the original plan for the wall-to-ceiling transition in the shower wasn’t going to work. They came up with an alternative layout that practically makes the warp invisible and looks so incredibly polished. My traditional sauna is another good example. We converted a former closet but needed to continue to be able to access — from the sauna! — a CATV board and also a storage closet underneath a stairwell. They worked with a sauna specialist to install access panels to both, and people who have seen the access panels have just assumed they’re a special wall design feature, to make the cedar wood layout look unique and not monotonous! The team at Rendon is very communicative, transparent and good about jumping onto the things that seem a little off and can leave you feeling uneasy. If I raised a question or issue, they were never dismissive and worked diligently to accommodate me or to get things back on track. More generally, they’re just good and decent people who stand behind their work, so they’re a pleasure to work with.

Rendon remodeled our master bath. The bathroom came out beautiful. The quality of the work is excellent and the team is professional and easy to work with. The contract and pricing are clear, the project manager was very responsive. The remodeling took place during the pandemic and issues did come up, but the team worked very hard to deal with the issues and keep the project moving. I would highly recommend Rendon.

Working with Rendon Remodeling and Design was by far the best experience we've had with a contractor. Mike, Joey, and their teams are professional, reliable, and do incredible work. We have worked with the Rendon Remodeling & Design on three separate renovations and/or addition projects over the past 14 years. Most recently, their team worked with us to re-imagine the entire second story of our home including the addition of a large and top-notch master-suite and master bath. The Rendon’s work also included a full exterior renovation, including redesign of the exterior in a way that is in keeping with the area that we live in and in keeping with the Virginia look and feel that we wanted - which included new sloping rooflines, hand-crafted wood shutters and a Coppola. In years past, the Rendon team helped us expand and create a French design kitchen with a beautifully designed addition. They also helped us redesign our adjoining family room to include a spacious matching French design wine bar. Our first experience working with the Rendon team included a re-design of our entry way to lighten it up, and the addition of a fireplace surrounded by windows in our living room. None of these projects were small, all of these projects were transformational game-changers and most importantly they made our home feel extra welcoming and comfortable for us, our children and our friends. What we can tell you about our experience working with the Rendon team is that they all treated us like a part of their lovely family, they listened carefully, designed thoughtfully and met our budget every step of the way. We did our research, we took time to get to know the entire Rendon team before we contracted and began to work together with them. From design through construction the experience of working with Rendon Design was fabulous. There is zero doubt we’ll work with the Rendon team again!!
