Robert's 21st Century Design

We employed Robert and his team on a 18month new build. The team make light work of a 'would be' heavy and stressful project. They are keen to finish to a good standard and go above and beyond to get a proper finish. Will certainly be looking to use them again where possible and would recommend you engage with them on your own project. We also used Bryant and Moore for the architectural construction drawings as they know Roberts team well...this i think was another secret...use people that know each other...it makes it all soo much simpler! Stuff just gets done..no professional blame games.

Robert's 21st Century Design was recommended to me by a close friend. His quote was extremely reasonable compared to others, and his team’s work was quick. Together, we’ve renovated and restored a 170 year-old Chelsea pub to its former glories, and I’m really happy with the work. I chose this company to provide a quote after reading the reviews and noticing the awards on this site and I am so pleased that I did. Robert quickly responded to emails, turned up when he said he would for meetings and provided quotes on time. It was already 100x better than the service i'd received from other builders and he hadn't even hammered a nail. As first time renovators we weren't really sure what we needed to do and Robert patiently led us through the process from recommending an architect to guiding us on planning permission. His quote was detailed and we spent a lot of time discussing the materials and other costs that would come up so we knew exactly what to expect and could budget accordingly. We had both a loft extension, new roof and new ground floor extension with kitchen. When the crew arrived on site we were blown away by how neat and tidy they left the site every night. It was a lot tidier than the rest of the house! It also meant that we were able to stay living in the house which saved a lot of budget and helped with providing feedback and answering questions. Robert visited regularly throughout the build checking on our satisfaction and progress and we had a Whatsapp group which was brilliant for comms. He also made design suggestions based on his experience with other builds and those little touches have made all the difference. His men were super helpful and flexible even when I threw some quite unusual design ideas at them. I can't recommend Robert enough and he'll be starting shortly with a very good friend of mine's loft conversion after they'd seen the transformation and quality of the work on our house! We are already planning what we can do next and will be coming straight to Robert when we decide!

The prospect of pulling down a house is a daunting one! However, it is the route we decided on! Robert was very confident and knowledgeable from the start. The replacement of a house with a substantially larger 7 bedroom house in the green belt with a basement and outhouse didn't seem to phase Robert and his team! They worked tirelessly and passionately to achieve the finish we desired. We had many ideas that required a lot of work and made many changes throughout the project, Robert and his team were always very accommodating and always did their utmost best to follow through with our plans and ideas. The guys did an impeccable job and we are thoroughly pleased with the finished project! Any issues we may have had or seem to come across, Robert has and is super efficient at sending someone over or coming himself to address it. This gives us reassurance we certainly went with the best. We did a loft conversion. Robert and his team are very efficient, well organised, pleasant to work with and very trustworthy. From start to finish they had a ‘can do’ attitude. A really great team who pay attention to detail, are very neat and tidy and work very hard. They just get the job done with no issues. They also were extremely careful with keeping the site safe as we have 3 young children. Robert is excellent at communicating with what is going on in the project and always had a soloution to any issue. They come highly recommended from us!

We chose Robert to do a complete renovation of our home (convert the attic, rewire, replumb and replaster the entire house and add a rear and side return as well as landscape the garden). His quote was competitive, and he seemed unphased about such a huge project. He also promised to complete the project in a shorter time than any other quote that came through. We went to visit some of his other projects to see if he was as good as we hoped, and after seeing those we decided to proceed. We are very pleased that we did, as we are incredibly pleased with our home. Robert was patient with us, helpful and flexible. His team were fantastic and the finish was good. Anything that we thought wasn't perfect, Robert strove to fix straight away without complaint. I would definitely recommend him and I will certainly use him again for any future projects.

We worked with Robert and his team to completely refurbish our house in 2016/17. We can’t recommend Robert and his team enough as they were extremely hard working throughout the whole project. They were very flexible and helpful, as the project was a tricky refurb to the main house and a loft conversion and ground floor side extension. Honesty and integrity were proved throughout the project and nothing was ever a problem. We are extremely happy with the finish and service, and would definitely recommend Robert and his team.

We have worked with Robert's team to renovate our house. The team not only helped us design our project but also establish the floor plans that really meet our expectations. We hired Robert’s 21st Century Design to work on our loft conversion project where we are having a master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and walk in wardrobe. Robert’s team was extremely professional , hardworking and arrived everyday on time or even earlier. After end of each day, they would do the tidying and clean up and that helps a lot since we have a two year old and dusty place would not be great. Their workmanship is excellent and very professional. Our neighbour who is a property developer also commented that the products they used are good quality. Everything was done to the agreed budget and they finished the work without extra labour cost despite of us adding more things. The walk in wardrobe is our main concern since we have no experienced in this, and Robert’s team has made a lot of effort in terms of custom renovation from scratch and coming up with creative ideas to make it very elegant and classy space with great lighting and most importantly fulfilling our dream walk in wardrobe. The bathroom has been finished to an exceptional quality and even better job than other builders we hired before. There were unforeseen circumstances where it happened at late night; Robert right away sent his team to look into the matter with no doubts. Robert was highly recommended to us by a previous client and we have been impressed from start to finish with Robert and his team. We planned a side extension to our 3 bedroom house to include a shower room, bedroom and utility area. In addition we needed a full rewire, a new kitchen and renovation to our hall and dining room. Robert's team made several improvements to our plans in the extension and the kitchen, which we really appreciated. Towards the end of the work we decided to have Robert's team block pave the drive. Robert's team are extremely hard working, skilled and they have done a fantastic job. We are especially pleased with the finish of everything. The team are all very nice and polite.

We bought a large property that was in need of complete renovation and Robert's team revamped the house top to bottom in only a few months. Robert and his team are hard working and skilled. They are customer focussed, listening to your requirements which was a real breath of fresh air compared to builders I have used in the past. Work was done using a contract with no major variations on the price. Most importantly Robert is trustworthy, sets down options depending on your budget and fun to work with!
