Platinum Remodeling

First of all, this review is long overdue and for that I apologize. My wife, Deborah, and I moved into my childhood home after my dad had passed away in the fall of 2016. We requested a complete remodel of the kitchen, designed by Natalie with input from my wife. The end result is a stunning large kitchen/dining room space. The wall between my sister's room first floor bedroom and the kitchen was removed and the space was transformed into our fantastic dining room. A French door was added to the DR and leads our new deck. All the existing beech wood floors were refinished and a matched beech wood floor was installed in the kitchen. All Knotty Pine cabinets were replaced by beautifully designed white cabinets, and quartz countertops completed the kitchen redesign. A large single farmhouse sink replaced the old one, new venting, insulation and under cabinet lighting plus beautiful overhead lighting now makes for one awesome kitchen area. All floors in the remainder of the house were refinished with a clear coat. Walls were skimmed in the living room and were then repainted. The large attic upstairs was turned into a California-style walk in closet for my wife. Deborah and I are so impressed with Josh and his sister Anna who managed the entire project. Their presence was constant throughout the entire project and the communication between Josh and Anna with Deborah and I was excellent and much appreciated. When we had questions or concerns they were addressed with expediency. The workers did excellent work. All of them were masters in their particular field. The quality of all of the work is the finest you could find anywhere. And when we had had our siding put on by another company some nail heads popped through our freshly skimmed and painted walls. Even though it wasn't Platinum's fault they came out and fixed the problem with no charge. It doesn't get any better than that. We were also very pleased by the cleanup and caring attitudes of all involved. Thank you Platinum! Thank you for taking time to do this for us.

We hired Platinum for a wall removal and beam installation project. We were very impressed with their professional approach and attention to detail throughout all aspects of the project from prep through final clean-up. The project was completed quickly, on budget, and looks great. We will look to use Platinum for all projects moving forward and would recommend them to anyone based on our experience. If you value attention to detail and a commitment to workmanship this is your company.

Platinum has done several projects for us, from remodeling a kitchen to sheetrock repair and weather-and-animal-proofing our garage. The last was above and beyond what we expected and far better than anything we would have done ourselves.

I was reluctant to proceed with Platinum Remodeling even though they were highly recommended by our tile supplier. My reluctance was over their estimate. Perhaps their estimate should have been a quote. The installer did a superb job. He spent a full day selecting and laying out tile to eliminate any color incompatibilities. He even asked us to purchase more tile in order to reject pieces that were less than perfect. The final results represents masterful work which we show off to family and friends and admire each time we pass through our iving room.. Highly recommended

We purchased a pretty worn-out home in south minneapolis back in 2013. Since then we've put a fair amount of work into it: new molding, new kitchen plus some exterior work. We've used platinum for all of it and they've been wonderful. Platinum is a brother and sister owned shop—Anna, has been our main point of contact. She's been very helpful in coordinating and planning but also in referring us to other vendors as needed. For our new kitchen ceiling, her dad was the carpenter doing the work—pretty cool family business.

I hired Platinum Remodeling contractors twice - a carpenter and a plumber. Both got jobs done and I was very satisfied with the results. The labor and part expenses were very reasonable. This is an honest company. I will definitely contact them first when I have a repair/project next time.

Our home had a couple of support posts in front of our house that were rotting on the bottom, which cause the roof over the porch to sag. I called Platinum Remodeling to see if this was something that they could repair. They said they definitely could. I sent them pictures and they gave me an estimate of $1,500+ to replace the posts. I set a date to have Platinum come and do the work. The Platinum people I worked with were all very professional and made me feel confident that they could take care of my project. Kyle was the carpenter that came to do our repair job, he arrived on time and took a look at our issue and suggested a less expensive alternative. He jacked up the posts and cut out the rotten area and replaced it with new lumber. He also notice that an area of the roof needed to be re-tarred due to the fact the roof had sagged. Kyle was awesome! He was easy to talk to and saved us over $1,000. The posts look great and you have to look close to see where he made the repair. I was thrilled with the work that was done and I will be keeping Platinum's contact info handy for any future projects we might have.

Platinum has done two large projects for us - a full kitchen remodel as well as a bath remodel. The remodels turned out amazing and they stuck to their schedule! They actually started when they said they'd start and were done by the completion date. We did not have to "chase" them around to finish the fine details! They have also done several smaller projects for us as well. Great work, great team, very responsive and very reasonably priced! Will continue to use!

Platinum remodeling completed a major kitchen remodel in my home. They guided us through the complete design build process. Kara the designer was great to work with and very responsive. The kitchen looks terrific and we have received many compliments on it. All of the platinum employees were respectful of my home and easy to work with. We had a few minor issues that we needed fixed at the end of our project and they were taken care of promptly.

Dear Josh, I felt it necessary to take this opportunity to commend you and your team on a most exemplary remodeling experience from start to finish! The time, effort and commitment you dedicate to your business shows through from first contact (Katie) through clean-up and supply retrieval! The entire time Kyle and Virgil were at our home completing our project, all I could think was “wow, this company is a well-oiled machine!” ...honestly. The efficient use of each worker’s time was amazing, and it’s obvious that you’ve honed-in on the trade skillset of the individuals you hire. Friendly personalities on honest hard working individuals (yourself included) are welcomed traits that are hard to find these days, and you are to be commended. Also, thank you for taking the extra time to work through the modification to our original plan with our structural engineer. We really appreciate the fact that you were willing to take the time necessary to save us some money on our project! I have filed the updated plan with the city, so we should be all set. Platinum transformed our 1950s rambler into a modern, far more functional home that we plan to stay in for years to come. By swapping the location of our kitchen and dining room at Kara's suggestion, we gained valuable preparation space, and room for a larger dining room table to entertain during family functions. The quality of the materials, and of the Platinum staff, was incredible. They were prompt, polite, and left our home virtually spotless each and every day before they left. Because of their amazing work, we contracted with Platinum again this past summer for installation of an e-gress window on our lower level. This was hard work with lots of digging and sawing through the existing house foundation. The result is another stellar job by Josh's staff. We will DEFINITELY be utilizing their expertise in the coming years as we continue to update this home that we just love. We can't imagine anyone doing a more professional job than Platinum, and heartily recommend them to anyone considering remodeling of their home.
