Beware using this firm for landscaping design and installation. Mark over-designs in order to get you to pay more. In a year or two, you will need to remove about one third to one half of Mark’s design (which you paid for) because it is growing all over itself. Mark got paid for the cost of the plants and installation, and you will have hire someone else to come in and remove the excess plantings, shrubs and trees that jammed together. Mark has no idea on how to design for the future. He also doesn’t honor his warranty commitments or return phone calls. Stay away!

I highly recommend Legacy Landscape Design to anyone interested in a landscape project. The entire process, from my initial meeting with Mark through completion, was great. Mark was punctual for all of our meetings. He was extremely patient, as we made adjustments to our design and he was responsive to both my husband and me. Just before starting our project, I proposed a couple new ideas for the design for Mark’s reaction. He listened carefully to my ideas and gave sound reasons as to why they were not feasible. He was also good about taking one of my concepts and proposing options that would work for us. Throughout the project, we were extremely pleased with Wes and his team. They did an excellent job each day with clean up. The project took about three weeks, with rain delays, but the site was always tidy. They were great with attention to detail. On a couple instances, Wes asked for our thoughts before moving forward, allowing for some flexibility on the design. Mark and Wes did a great job communicating with one another. It was nice that we could have a conversation with one of them and that information was passed on to the other. My husband and I are so pleased with the landscaping. We look forward to spending time in our back yard enjoying Mark and Wes’ beautiful work.

Mark and his crew did a great job installing two paver walkways and a bin landing for me in October and the project is holding up well.

Mark and Legacy Landscape Design was excellent. They helped us bring our vision to reality. From the design to the execution, they did excellent. They exceeded our expectations with the quality at the end and with speed. They did it ahead of schedule. Can't say enough about these guys - excellent!

Working with Mark of Legacy Landscape Design was a wonderful experience. Mark came to our home, walked the property, listened to our concerns and created a beautiful landscape design for our home. We decided to go forward with his design and we are very pleased with the results. The landscaping was professionally done, creative and beautiful. We had our front and back yard landscaped. We also had a fence put up as well and Mark assisted us with different options to choose from. We live in a community and Mark effectively blended our home within our community. My wife and I had a great experience with Legacy Landscape Design. Mark worked closely with us to develop an overall landscape redesign for our front, side and back yards. His flexibility has allowed the project to be done in two phases in order to meet our budgetary constraints. This fall, Mark transformed our front and side yards from an overgrown eyesore to a beautiful space including all new plantings, flagstone steps and two flagstone patio areas. Next fall, he will do the back yard, which will include all new plantings, a large flagstone patio and a water feature. We are so pleased with the work that Mark and his team have done and highly recommend Legacy Landscape Design.

I can't say enough good things about Mark and the Legacy team. Legacy's work is outstanding. I looked at many different landscape companies before I talked with Mark and decided I had clearly wasted my time talking to the others. I wish I had called Legacy first! Mark did a major front and back yard renovation for us in 2010. This included a new patio, front and back stone stairs, stone retaining wall, an outdoor fireplace and extensive landscaping. Mark is extremely professional, knowledgeable and easy to work with. He brings a vision to the project that provides different options based on budget and style. Mark is extremely responsive and immediately answers emails and phone calls. The office staff was also very easy to work with. Tammy provided all quotes (which may need to be changed multiple times based on options) and this was always done in an expedited manner and very professionally. I highly recommend Mark and Legacy Landscape.

I would recommend Legacy Landscaping and Mark Schisler unequivicolly. Mark is a true professional who made multiple trips to our house adjusting the landscape design to account for flower preferences, color schemes, seasonal changes and much more. Mark is patient, knowledgeable, flexible but his work is exacting. Mark holds his crew to very high stadnards and his professionalism has rubbed off on every member of his staff. I interacted with over a dozen individuals over the course of our project and every one was helpful, careful and accomodating. Mark followed up personally throughout the project and just recently did a walk through to assess how the project has weathered the winter weather and is already making adjustments to the finished product. Legacy Landscapes, Inc. did a major landscape project for us in 2011, and additional work in 2012, that included: Retaining Walls, Re-grading, Drainage, Irrigation, plantings (shrub, trees, and annuals), New sod, Tree cutting and pruning, and some Deck reconfiguring. Mark, Legacy’s owner, was professional and responsive throughout the project – from start to finish. He was accommodating to all of our needs while offering alternative solutions to the issues we were faced with. Legacy may not be the right fit if you’re looking for a quick-fix contractor to patch an existing issue. Legacy does a great job at looking for long-term solutions, while addressing the customer needs, and respecting a budget. They put a lot of work into the planning phase of our project which made the work itself run smoothly, with very little adjustment during the work itself. Legacy is committed to satisfaction and stands behind their work.

We are beyond happy with the work that Legacy Landscapes did in our backyard. The design Mark Schisler provided was exactly what we were hoping for and we appreciated the flexibility of the crew throughout as we saw it come to life. The entire crew worked so hard and paid attention to every detail. Legacy landscapes has done major jobs such as reworking a yard, waterfall and pond, fireplace, lighting,drain repairs, rebuilding hill landscape along with minor jobs of planting beds and twice monthly maintenance, I have been very very pleased with all who have worked for me Flagged first major project for timing, pricing,
