Marie Paysant-Le Roux

I am a textile artist and designer, specialising in colour, materials & trend forecast. I'm originally from Normandy in France and lived in London for four years from 2007 to 2011. I now live in Paris, working as a freelance colour & material artist-designer. My previous experiences and clients include: Saint-Gobain, Onirys, Lapeyre, Farrow & Ball, Studioilse, Alstom Transport, private customers... Having grown up near by my father's oysterfarm, the seaside and quality food, I think that my native environment certainly enriched my senses and memory. I then developped further this natural acuity by practicing my skills through art & design projects in France and the UK. Graduated from the Royal College of Art in 2009, Master in mixed media Textiles, and having worked after in interior design and transport design, my area of focus is researching about the sensitive & emotional power of materials interconnected with colours. Creating my own collections of objects, usually very artistic, I can also apply my skills to working along a design team for interior design, product, trend forecast, transport, food design, art installations.
