Over the past several years I have had the pleasure of working with Maher Construction on several major residential projects. Maher Construction has worked on three separate residences of mine over the past 8 years. The scope of work included a main floor interior alteration, converting a two storey duplex to a single storey dwelling and recently adding a 3 storey addition to my home. Larry and his team of designers and trades are great to work with. The communication and project management was excellent. All the projects were completed within my initial budget and work was completed within the time frame we agreed upon. There is no doubt I would call Larry for anything in the future.

We have a 90 year old home in North Toronto. A recent inspection of our furnace a water heating system left us with some code breaches that required some structural changes (framework/walls/drywall/venting/etc.). Given the sense of urgency to bring things up to code, Maher Construction was very quick to come out to provide some advice on what could be done. Not only did they provide a few options to ensure that our home was brought up to code, they ensured costs were kept to a minimum (they never suggested anything that required unnecessary costs). The quality of the work was second to none They seem to pride themselves in their ability to quickly assess the needs of their customer and then offer options to choose from; all of which solving the issue and none of them cost prohibitive. No doubt there were many companies that could have done the work required; am not sure thought they would have provided the same level of care and advice that Maher Construction provided us. I’d highly recommend Maher Construction to anyone in need of a contractor they can trust.

I would highly recommend Maher Construction. I originally hired them for a large basement renovation in 2006 which included everything from the architecture, engineering, underpinning to complete finishing. They were delightful to work with, very professional. They have very skilled team of tradesman that were very courteous ( cleaning up every day) and completed top notch work that was on time and on budget. The attention to detail and customer satisfaction is outstanding. When it came time to completely gut and redo our kitchen in 2011 we went straight to Maher Construction. Maher contruction helped us renovate our den/kitchen. We removed walls and integrated the den with the kitchen eating area; it was a total gut and renovation of these spaces. The areas were seemlessly integrated into the rest of the kitchen area and home; the new clean and modern space looks as if it has always been part of the house. Larry is professional, easy going, and knowledgeable and made what could have been a very stressful experience, pleasant and the results were what we expected and we have been enjoying the new space since. The trades and suppliers used for the project were also professional and of the utmost quality.

We hired Maher Construction to design and build a 3 storey addition to our home in Lawrence Park. The addition functions as our private living quarters and included a new garage, home office, butler’s pantry, family room, master bedroom and ensuite as well as an elevator. We held a lot of trust in Maher as we were rarely in town to monitor the work as we were living in our residence in Florida during the construction. We recently purchased a condo at the Four Season Toronto and hired Maher Construction to oversee the project. They were professional, organized and trustworthy. Toronto is not our permanent home, so we could not be around while the renovations were taking place. We found Maher Construction consistently available for questions or updates about progress. Maher Construction renovated a "fixer-upper" we bought, and added a new addition. As a homeowner for 30+ years, with experience with other renovators, I can truly say that Larry Maher and his team provided the best experience ever. They started on time, kept us informed daily, honoured our choices of all the details (including door hinges), and stayed on budget. Importantly, they completed the project on time, saving us rental and storage fees. Larry worked well with my designer's ideas, and other professionals who did special built-ins remarked that the drywall measurements were the most accurate they had ever seen. The tiling is beautiful and level! I'm a very picky person about details, and Larry was very patient with me, insuring everything was completed to our satisfaction, no problem!
