Landsystems and Associates, founded in 1986 by Linda Shotwell, is a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to ecological, site-appropriate landscape design. Our wide network of local consultants and excellent relationships with local agencies broaden the expertise of services offered and assure project success. Linda Shotwell, principal designer, is committed to innovative design solutions that integrate function, style and budget. She is responsible for conceptual and final designs, specifications and detailing, field construction administration, contract negotiations, project management, budgeting and scheduling. She brings over 30 years of experience in the field to each project. Linda’s noteworthy career accomplishments include the landscape design and specifications for the Gold LEED Certified Hayward Building Systems Facility in Santa Maria, California. Another career milestone was the design, specifications and field construction administration for a 400-acre watershed restoration. The project was implemented in conjunction with the Morro Bay National Estuary Program, under the jurisdiction of the Environmental Projection Agency and the Regional Water Quality Control Board. Her designs have won the Obispo Beautiful Award for Residential Landscape Design and the CLGA Statewide Trophy Award (1st place).
