My project was to finish off my basement with an in-law apartment. Due to the low ceilings, bulkheads were a problem and I wanted them disguised as much as possible. Laura understood my concerns, but also knew the structural limitations. She came up with a good solution of creating additional faux bulkheads to give the impression of an intentional ceiling "design", which left me with as much floor-to-ceiling height as possible. Pierre was the general contractor for the job. He made numerous suggestions I didn't think of to assure the comfort of the new living space - such as installing sound insulation around the furnace room. I was insisting on a secret bookcase door, but all the existing ones opened "in" and I needed mine to swing "out". So Pierre worked creatively with a pre-made bookcase and special hinges to create a custom bookcase door for me. I was very pleased with the end result and it is my favorite feature of the lower level living space.

Design and Such, Inc. has provided remodeling and design services on several projects for me. I had remodeling done on my bathroom and kitchen. Both were daunting tasks for me, but Design and Such with their knowledge and background made it a great experience. They are professionals who take the time to listen and make sure that the end result is what you want. Both projects were completed in the designated time frame and within the budget I had allotted. I really didn't have to do much except pick out tile, flooring, paint, etc. and wait for them to do the work. They stayed on top of both projects to make sure that everything went smoothly and made sure that they cleaned up behind themselves everyday. What impressed me the most was the fact that they followed up several months/year after the completion to make sure that I was still pleased. I have one more project to do and i definitely will be hiring Design and Such. Great firm to work with!!!

Design and Such helped us remodel our Master bedroom and bathroom as well as decorate the kids bedrooms. They redesigned the floor plan to make it more functional and more updated. They advised us really tastefully and knowledgbly with the selection of tiles, hardwood, cabinets, hardware, paint, window coverings and furniture. They also executed the installation of all of the above. Their work was really professional. The project was delivered on time. They were very detail oriented in their execution and provided a high quality end product.

Design and Such helped us change our living room, dining room and entry hall in the spring of 2012. Paint, curtains, lamps, chandeliers, cushions. It was magic, the rooms looked totally new although we kept the same furniture! Lara was spent a lot of time with us until we chose the colors for the walls and the fabric for the curtains, Pierre watched every detail, he made sure that the paint job was done to perfection.
