Ken Allatt with New Era Upholstery did an outstanding job in restoring our family piece! We had the fabric for years but could never find an upholsterer we could trust and that was reasonable. Turns out, he lives around the corner from us! His final price was extremely close to his original quote and his workmanship is superb. The pictures show the chair as we delivered it to him through the repair process and into the final product. We are beyond satisfied and have received extremely complimentary reactions from everyone who has seen it.

Ken is an excellent upholsterer. He especially excels if the furniture is a combination of exposed wood and upholstery such as a French Bergere chair. He is extremely careful with the exposed wood. There will be no tool marks, indentations, scrapes, or anything to mar the beauty of the wood. You will be very pleased with the results he creates.

Ken is an experienced and excellent upholsterer! He builds furniture as well as re-upholsters furniture. I have used Ken's services for twenty-five years. His sofas are extremely comfortable, are built to last, and the stuffing he uses makes them ideal for both naps and visiting guests. His attention to detail is impressive. Ken's seat cushions and chairs are equally superb. He does not cut corners. Ken is professional, experienced, knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend him!

Ken is a master in his field. He is meticulous, creative, professional and does beautiful work. I have a unique tete-a-tete Italian piece that was in need of repair, both mechanically and to the interior fill and lining. Ken was able to come up with a solution which he executed flawlessly, returning my piece as good as new. He also custom built and upholstered a king headboard and surrounding bed frame which is spectacular. The surrounding frame is a single piece with rounded corners so there are no sharp edges to bump into in the middle of the night. Additionally, it looks far more elegant this way. Not a seam in sight! He was very thorough with his measurements to be sure every detail was taken into account and exercised great care while in my home. I highly recommend Ken. He can handle the conventional and can also rise to the occasion when a challenge presents itself. Ken is a trustworthy, talented professional.
