It was a pleasure working with Kelly. She had creative solutions to design disagreements between my husband and me, which have turned out to be among our favorite parts of the remodel. She was super helpful guiding us where to “splurge” and where to “save”. We love all of her design decisions and wholeheartedly recommend her.

Kelly and her team are fabulous from start to finish! In addition to being a blast to work with, Kelly's best quality is that she listens. A family home now feels like my own and I love all the spaces we created (and my teens do too). Couldn't have done it without Kelly and her team and would give 10 stars if I could.

We had just purchased a new home and had no idea how to design and furnish it, beyond buying random pieces at a big box type store. Somehow, we stumbled upon Kelly Scanlon Interior Design (who happened to live near us) and the journey began! Kelly and her team walked us through all the basic steps related to comfort, style, design, usefulness, etc. As newbies to this type of process, we have to admit that at times it was overwhelming, but Kelly and her team had the patience to make sure we stayed on-track and really thought through our decisions. The results were amazing! We never thought our home would turn out the way it did - Kelly and team were phenomenal and we would highly recommend!

I’m so happy with the kitchen remodeling that Kelly and Sydney did for me. They transformed my old and dark kitchen into a bright and modern space. They were very helpful in choosing the colors, wood, hardware and lighting that suited my taste and budget. They are very professional and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Kelly and her team for any future projects.

Kelly and Sydney help me with remodeling my kitchen. I needed more light and an updated kitchen. They have a great eye to see what I wasn't able to invision for my new kitchen. They made the process really simple to help me pick colors and wood and hardware and awesome lighting. It is really easy to work with Kelly and her associates. I would not hesitate to call Kelly again for another project.

Kelly helped us with concept and design renderings of an entire exterior house remodel in 2020-2021. She did a fantastic job with taking our current house style, listening to our desired vision, measuring the house and putting together a few different ideas/concepts including suggestions on type of windows and doors and stone and wood (even researching these in store for us). The visual renderings were so helpful to then take to an architect for seismic work and our contractor. We ended up using her original renderings and the house looks beautiful! Its exactly what we pictured!

Kelly is a rock star. She did a complete end to end design of our master bedroom as well as a number of other projects in the house and totally crushed it. We are so happy with the outcome. Fun to work with and with a great eye and a great team of designers and vendors behind her.

Kelly is a fantastic designer. She has reimagined our master bath, master bedroom, entryway and more. Kelly pays attention to the details, which is especially important when you have young children (material finishes really matter!). Her designs are beautiful, timeless and truly add value to the home. I can't wait to start another project with Kelly!

Kelly is an amazing designer. She is creative and brings fresh perspective and ideas, but is also very mindful of client priorities, budget and vision for their homes. She was great at suggesting things we hadn't seen before, responding (and interpreting!) our desires to bring New Orleans into our home, communicating honestly and with humor, when needed. Her vendors and subs are without reproach. She has not just made our house a home, but the home of our dreams.

We had a large basement remodel that I knew I wanted professional design help with executing. Kelly more than delivered. I had asked her early on to not be afraid to push me outside my comfort zone and the results are nothing short of breathtaking. She delivered on an absolute dream of a laundry room and a game room that is a total wow! In addition to her design expertise, she also introduced us to some fantastic trades people who helped make this entire project a joy to work on from start to finish. I honestly cannot recommend her and her team enough.

We were fortunate enough to work with Kelly on a complete overhaul of our master bedroom in 2019 and had such a great experience that we worked with her again to refresh two other bathrooms in 2020. Kelly is easy to work with and makes the process painless, which is a masterful skill in the realm of home remodeling! I am not a visual person, but Kelly opened my eyes to new ideas by bringing fresh design elements into our projects. For example, she suggested a wall of mirrors in our master bath and dark gray trim - neither of which I would have EVER come up with on my own but look amazing. Our master bedroom is a true sanctuary for me and my husband now after being the worst room in the house, and we actually enjoy relaxing there. Our two new bathrooms are fresh and airy, and she incorporated several of our requests such as plenty of hooks for wet swimsuits, accessible storage options for goggles and sunscreen, and color. I couldn't recommend Kelly enough and have already referred her to a few friends. I'm looking forward to our next project together!

Kelly's attention to detail is carried throughout every aspect of the project. She is well connected and her suppliers provide quality products and service.

Kelly and her team understood what we were looking for and delivered with flying colors. Last summer, we remodeled two of our bathrooms and not only needed help designing them (which turned out to be amazing!), but also someone to keep the project moving along since we were on a strict time frame. Not only do we love our new bathrooms because they are perfect for our family, but they were finished on time.

Its very refreshing to be able to work with a top notch designer who knows and sees every level of detail and brings in the quality and value that Kelly puts into to each project. I also really enjoy her ability to communicate and work through details so all the trades involved understand what is needed and how the big picture will look once completed.

Highly recommend Kelly and her team! We hired her to help us redo our living room, dining room, laundry and kids/guest bath and couldn't be happier with the results. She did an amazing job taking our initial requests and turning them into a design that was functional, beautiful, and fit our style (even when we couldn't quite articulate what our style was!). She was fun to work with, professional, reliable, and a great problem solver.

We sought Kelly's expertise to redesign our family, dining, and living area. She transformed what used to be a disjointed area into a free flowing space that is functional and timeless. We've received countless compliments on the transformation. Midway through the process, we encountered an issue with a load-bearing wall, and Kelly was poised and cool about it -- modified the initial design, and created an even better look than what was initially set forth. She is undoubtedly a problem-solver with the artistry to match. She has the knowledge and expertise to pay attention to the little things -- which way a door or cabinet opens, how easily a certain fabric will react to my 3 kids spilling stuff on it, which couches/chairs will comfortably accommodate my very tall husband and my very petite self. She has personalized our home in a way that makes us feel comfortable and at ease, but makes it look like a million bucks too. We gave her our budget for a remodel and furniture plan, and she was respectful of that...no surprises on costs. Our experience working with Kelly was top notch and an A++. My husband will no longer move a chair or add any decor to our home without mumbling, "well, would Kelly approve?" She is a game changer.

Kelly and her team helped us refresh our family room this year, and we could not be happier with the results. With a few updates - a new layout, a great mix of furniture, sleek fireplace surround and cool gray paint and glass backsplash on the bar - our room went from tired and blah to functional and stylish. She is super responsive to questions and any issues that came up and she and her staff are helpful, friendly and professional. We highly recommend her!

We had a difficult space to alter to make more functional. I didn't think it could be done and Kelly came in and made it happen. She did this space plus the adjoining areas. It is so beautiful. She is a pleasure to work with and did an amazing job. Everyone who walks into our house is amazed.

Kelly has great vision, and I trusted her implicitly to listen to my scattered input and come back with a great, coherent design with amazing elements. I appreciated her straight forward communication style, and the lightness and sense of humor she naturally infused into our interactions were such a breath of fresh air.

We truthfully can't recommend Kelly enough. We love what did for our home: she was a never ending fountain of ideas, fun and easy to work with, and was always - always - mindful of the budget. She had an endless stream of ready-to-use and available contacts - electricians, handymen, custom furniture and cabinets makers - to quickly solve any problem that came up or to implement any idea we wanted to pursue. She made the process about as easy and enjoyable as it could possibly be and she transformed our house into the home we always hoped to have.

Kelly completely transformed our kitchen which my 10 year says "has changed our house and brought our family together." She created new spaces for our family with a banquette / eat-in kitchen area as well as a massive indoor/outdoor bar area that allows us to take entertaining to the next level and then some! I underestimated the impact a kitchen transformation would have on our happiness with our home. Kelly worked relentlessly to ensure it all came together and that the end product of an elegantly designed new space would please us all for years to come!

Kelly is very professional, has excellent taste and is a wonderful person. She's such a pleasure to work with. She was very calming when things got stressful. She has lots of experience, knows her stuff and has great ideas. She asked a lot of questions, then narrowed down the choices to make the process easier for us. We felt like we were working as a team, and we knew we couldn't go wrong with her on our team. We love our new kitchen and bath!!!

If you are lucky to discover Kelly before you start your design / remodel or along the way, you will be delighted you did! Kelly was highly recommended as the ‘consummate professional’ to us by a family friend that had worked on their remodel. At the time, we were confused about our style, paint colors, types of stone to use in bathrooms and kitchen, flooring, and the list goes on. Kelly is a pleasure to work with. Totally on the ball with her paperwork, communications, and follow through which made working together smooth and painless. She used technology to facilitate our meetings which avoided unnecessary drive times and made visual what we needed to communicate about. She and her team came totally prepared with amazing props, flowers and plants to elevate every shot. On top of this amazing project management, she was a joy to spend the day with. Her talents allowed us to create the most beautiful images possible and work efficiently to get as much done as possible in the day. Doing photo shoots of interior design projects is definitely a team effort and working with a designer who gets the process really makes the experience a creative pleasure.

I have had experiences with other designers in the past, some good some bad. I had seen Kelly's work at a friends house and then on Houzz, Instagram, her website etc and I liked her style so I gave her a call. She is AMAZING, she takes on your project like it was her own home no matter how big or how small. She will talk with you about your budget and find incredible style with what you are comfortable with. She has impeccable follow up and all of the vendors/ resources she works with are top notch. From a budget standpoint, I have worked with her one room at a time and I can't wait to do the rest of my house!

I was fortunate enough to have been introduced to Kelly through our real estate agents after purchasing our first single family home in Moraga (which had great bones but needed some TLC). Kelly is a consummate professional and a wonderful person to boot. She is positive and warm, bringing fresh and new ideas to the table. Relying on her design experience and knowledge, Kelly makes quick and exacting decisions yet has a way of introducing unique touches to her work, setting your home apart from others she has designed. The process with Kelly is personal and collaborative. She listens and does not turn you away if your budget does not meet a certain minimum (as other designers will do). In just a few easy steps of paint, lighting, and flooring, our home was transformed. Kelly was able to utilize some furniture pieces we already had, and we continue to build on our furniture collection with her help. She knows her stuff, will not steer you wrong, and is not afraid to speak her mind. I have tremendous confidence in her abilities. In fact, as a design professional myself, I could not imagine working with anyone else.

Kelly Scanlon is a great designer. Lively, creative , practical and knowledgeable. She turned our drab, cluttered living room is a beautiful, serene and comfortable space. She redesigned our vintage fireplace wall into an amazing focal point. She helped us pull together a color scheme that is sleek but cozy and intimate. She found the perfect furniture that allows better space and flow but still are compatible with our 1918 craftsman house. She is a joy to work with too! Couldn't be more pleased!

Kelly is the ideal interior designer! Her approach is relaxed yet extremely professional. She first listens to her clients' thoughts and ideas. She then brings her skill and sharp eye to the task. Kelly has a keen eye for colors, textures and shapes. Her designs are innovative and fun, but never over the top. She is a pleasure to work with, has a practical view of projects and budgets, and really listens to her clients' needs.

Kelly redecorated almost my entire home (living room, dining room, den, foyer, master bedroom/bath, guest bedroom, and kids bedroom/bath). This project took place over a period of several years - from 2006 to 2010 in order to accommodate both my budget and my sanity! The result is a beautiful, comfortable, livable home that reflects exactly who I am. The home is a 100+ year old Edwardian and Kelly gave it an elegant updated look without going contemporary. I am extremely happy with the outcome and will love my home for many years to come.

Kelly designed a bedroom for my 10 year old daughter. It is now the envy of every girl who enters. Kelly was able to design a beautiful room with tons of storage. She also worked on custom drapery and upholstery throughout our home. Kelly is very mindful of how a room is going to be used. She has wonderful ideas mixing high and low end products. Kelly was able to provide us with a vast array of trades people all of them producing excellent work. Kelly was not only a true professional but a blast to shop with.

I had the most fun working with Kelly! We hired her to redo our master bedroom and she did such an incredible job! She listened to our needs and requests and created a wonderful living space where we can relax, read and rejuvenate! Her ideas are incredibly creative and we are so pleased with our new space. We highly recommend Kelly. She is amazing!

Kelly helped us convert the living space of our generic 1950's rancher into a beautiful space that we love to entertain in and is also very comfortable for our family to enjoy. She has the perfect blend of classic and contemporary, but most importantly, she really listens to her clients and builds a design and aesthetic for each individual client. I definitely hope to work with Kelly again in the future.
