We have lived in our West Pulaski county home for 20 years and the family who built it lived here for four years prior. After 24 years, our master bathroom was falling apart. The whirlpool tub was now almost impossible to start and near death and the tile around it was loose and grout was falling out. The shower was small and poorly designed. We needed a remodeler. John Hanks Construction was recommended to us by a friend who said, "He won't be the least expensive but his work is superior." We were impressed with John and his son, Brandon right from the start and we felt totally comfortable with them in our home. They worked hard at a steady pace and always kept the work area neat and always left it in a good way each night. We knew nothing about tile or granite, fixtures, etc. Fortunately, Hanks sent us to the right people who were extremely helpful. The job was completed much faster than we expected. These men are truly experts and there was no wasted motion. We now have a gorgeous new bathroom! We actually miss John and Brandon because they were such a pleasure to have around. John Hanks has given us a brand new, beautiful house, upstairs and down. His first projects were gutting and remodeling our downstairs' and master baths. Our master bath seems twice as large now and is just beautiful—travertine floors, marble countertops, and an amazing glass shower. John had helpful suggestions throughout the projects that, in the end, made the functionality so much better. He did such a wonderful job on the bathrooms that we didn't even consider anyone else to gut and remodel our entire downstairs. He knocked out walls, enlarged doorways, opened up spaces we didn't know could be opened up, redid ceilings, took out all the floors and replaced them with hardwood, completely changed our fireplace, and gave us a brand new kitchen. His vision for what could be done far exceeded ours, and it is just extraordinary how transformed our home is. And with all this, he completed our downstairs ahead of schedule and on budget. John is a delight to work with, and it has been our pleasure to trust our home with John Hanks. We highly recommend John Hanks Construction.

John and his son, Brandon, turned our 1970's kitchen disaster into a functional, beautiful space that invites friends and family to "hang out". They are professional, talented and the most capable people I have ever observed. They should teach a class on efficiency! Add to this neat, keeping everything cleaned up, organized and having everything scheduled with minimal, if any, delays. John Hanks has known my family for many years and done work for my brother. I called him when I decided to remodel my house. I did a kitchen remodel, an entire master bathroom , a dining room addition and new deck. Plus a new fireplace mantel and surround. John helped me with the plans and had wonderful suggestions for the remodel. Both John and his son are very professional, courteous, neat and very easy to work with. Last year I decided to remodel by guest bathroom which was small and very narrow. John suggested a corner toilet to help with the space. Great idea! He also built a custom cabinet for the sink for this small area. I couldn't have been more pleased.

Every time I walk into my remodeled master bathroom, I smile. John brought my dream of a glam spa bathroom to life. I had collected a bunch of ideas, and he helped me decide which ones could work in my space. He referred me to a tile specialist who drew the exact tile design for no extra charge. He and his crew were considerate, easy-going, neat and reliable. Their attention to detail was fantastic. Yet John’s fees were in the low to average range of estimates I received. Unlike some other contractors I interviewed, John was happy to have me shop online for the best prices for items like tub, sinks and faucets, but he carefully checked the specs for me to be sure my orders were correct. I would not hesitate to hire John Hanks Construction again; in fact, I already had them back to work on another area of the house, where they did a beautiful job on woodwork and painting.

Working with John was a delight. He and his son, Brandon, are professional, efficient, courteous and thorough. Both were easy to communicate with during our renovation. They were respectful in listening to our ideas and needs and extremely helpful when decisions needed to be made. John Hanks has been doing our remodels for over 20 years. He and Brandon finished remodeling our bathroom a few months ago. We could not be more pleased. It is beautiful. We trust John so much that we never get competing bids.
