We have been networking, working & exploring various interior projects since 2017 with Ivy League Construction LLC. We first connected on a project that I was directing... A 30,000 Square Foot Dream Project in Potomac, MD! Since then we have completed a multitude of projects from Potomac to Hagerstown... What "I appreciate about Ivy League Construction is that they listen to what the Designer or Client is Saying" and provide good quality and value for each project, whatever the level of design or scope of work, that is expected. The quote and the amount of work they needed to do was precise and complete. The workmen were professional and pleasant to have in the house. All our questions were taken seriously, and they helped us make some tough decisions with thoughtfulness. We have done all the work on our 100 yr old house ourselves (30 years) until now, and we would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We have used Ivy League Construction for two different projects in our home. The first job they completed for us was in August of 2017 when they removed the drywall from one wall in our living room in order to expose the brick and repainted the other walls. We were away on vacation at the time that the renovations were being completed, and we found Ivy League to be trustworthy and dependable. When we we returned from our trip, it was clear that they had worked hard to minimize the spread of dust and dirt from the work. They did a excellent job cleaning the existing brick and making slight repairs where needed- the walls look amazing! The paint job on the other walls was neat and even and the entire project was completed in the time frame they had given us. The second project they did for us included minor repairs to our basement apartment (i.e., filling in holes in small holes in drywall and woodwork, repair of rotted woodwork in the bathroom, removing old bathroom fixtures) and painting of the entire basement. I appreciated Igor's thoroughness and attention to detail when he came to assess the project- he pointed out many details and issues that we had not noticed or considered and was honest and upfront about what varying levels of service would cost. Throughout the project, Igor was easy to get in touch with and flexible about communicating through text, email and calls. If there was any uncertainty in their understanding of how we wanted something done, he called to ask or confirm. The paint job looks wonderful- again, clean and consistent work. We had one miscommunication about the installation of new bath fixtures, but Igor was extremely accommodating and immediately made time to complete this last piece. Overall, I would highly recommend Ivy League Construction and intend to use them again for future home projects.

I have used Ivy League Construction on a number of projects in my home both inside and outside. Gene and his team are extremely professional, easy to work with, and do outstanding quality work! The most recent job was interior painting and installation of shelves. They moved furniture, took down curtains—they were attentive to every detail of what needed to be done. And when the job was complete everything was put back and cleaned up. I would HIGHLY recommend them for any type of construction job!

Ivy League was impressive from the initial meeting. Their prompt communication, detailed explanations, personal meetings, expansive portfolio and transparent pricing led us to pick them for our large renovation project. Our project was begun and completed on schedule. All work was built and finished to a high quality standard. Everything was done to code. It is so rare to find this consistent level of caring customer service today. We highly recommend Ivy League to anyone looking to build an addition.

The best contractors ever! Their work is exemplary down to the smallest details, like the most wonderful baseboard trim work, and they are the most delightful people to have around. They did such a wonderful job on our kitchen and dining room renovation, which included taking walls down and widening doorways, that we had them back almost immediately to expand our powder room into a full bath with a walk in shower. We also had them redo our family room by re-flooring, painting, and upgrading our lighting fixtures. The best thing about Ivy League is that you don't have to worry about anything, they take care of it. They are totally trustworthy too. We had to go away for a week and they took care of everything while we were gone. If you love your home, don't want to worry, have the most conscientious contractors who care very much about their work.........these are the guys for you! We will miss them but hope to come up with other projects for them in the future.

We love our new kitchen! Gene, Igor & John were great all the way- helpful, creative professionals. We ended up using high quality materials & appliances that met our budget. Next projects will be two bathrooms by fall. Very pleased! Wish I can post pics!

We needed an estimate for a potential purchase. Gene was so responsive and took the time to come and visit the house and give us a detailed estimate for our project, which helped us make an informed decision. He brought us some samples to better illustrate how our work would look like. We will definitely work with him in future.

I contacted 4-5 contractors through Houzz for estimates for a backyard deck for our rowhouse in Hampden. Igor (Ivy League Construction) responded very quickly. He came to look at our existing deck and to discuss our ideas. His ideas and sketches were very appealing to us. We realized that a new deck would be the best solution. Igor sent the estimate quickly. We had a second contractor come (from a bigger company). His indifferent attitude to our project was striking, compared to Igor's enthusiasm. AND, his estimate was twice what Igor's was. Without vocalizing it, the other contractor made us feel that ours was a small project and not worth trying to get our business. We signed a contract with Igor. The work started within a month (during busy deck building season!). Igor came out the first day, with two crewmen, and he came at other times during construction. Our deck was finished by the end of the week (4 days). All the old wood was taken away by the crew. The final product is beautiful and the workmanship and materials are top quality. We now feel that we have an outdoor room! We are enjoying the deck and the privacy (which is hard to come by in a rowhouse). We highly recommend Igor's company, Ivy League Construction. Gene and Igor worked on renovating my house. They were professional, thoughtful and thorough in their work. They documented and outlined everything that was going to be done. Whenever there was confusion we could refer back to the document which was helpful. I also found their subcontractors to be very highly skilled and easy to work with. They did a great job cleaning up. I have worked with other companies that have left big messes so it was refreshing to see work finished and cleaned up!

I hired Ivy League Construction to build a 2 story roof top deck on my Federal Hill house. The finished product exceeded all of my expectations. I was initially given a detailed description of the work to be performed. There was no up-selling; the only extras to the contract was for additional work I requested. Workers arrived at 7:30 am every morning, worked until 5;30 and left my property in perfect condition The quality of the work is remarkable and the price was quite reasonable. The owner, Igor Kantzler, is smart, has good judgment and a great aesthetic sense. and was quite easy to work with. April & May of 2016 was quite rainy and the project was of course delayed a bit because of it. Twelve days in and close to completion, I asked Igor if he wanted the second rather significant draw. "No," he said, "I'm not entitled to it yet." How many contractors do you know who would have said that? I plan on using them again and I hope it is soon..

The Ivy League team are consummate professionals. The estimate was detailed, concise, and well priced. The remodeling of two bathrooms were flawlessly executed using the finest hardware, granite, custom cabinets, and glass enclosures.. All work as completed in a timely fashion. I had the pleasure of working with true craftsman. I am delighted and expect that I will enjoy the benefits of the finest of workmanship for many years to come.
