After searching for someone to help me with a back/side yard in medium bad shape and reading reviews, I contacted Harvey at Apple Blossom Landscape. He returned the call pretty quick and set up the consultation. He listened to what I needed, but more important to me, he understood what would work and what I should not do with a new puppy. (I would tend towards over flowering which would have been torn up in an instant by a curious canine). He answered all my questions. Showed up when he said he would and gave me a beautiful yard and patio addition. I hope to be able to use Apple Blossom next year to tackle the front yard.

My husband and I had Apple Blossom Landscape install all new landscaping around our house in 2007 and we were so impressed with the owner of this company, Harvey Wiley and the quality of the work they performed that we hired them again in 2012 to install a berm in our backyard with plants and a maple tree and then we again hired them in 2015 to put in a brick patio. The owner Harvey Wiley is one of the most professional, competent, caring business people I have ever worked with. Unlike a lot of companies, he stands behind his work and when we have lost bushes over the years due to the polar vortex, so things beyond our control, he honored the warranty and replaced them for free. He provides detailed quotes, always shows up when he says he will and on time, which these days is sometimes hard to come by. He is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of landscaping and such a pleasure to work with. His company is never going to be the cheapest quote you get but you know the saying, you get what you pay for, and the quality of the work and the integrity of the owner of this company is worth every penny you will spend. It goes without saying I highly recommend this company.

We just used Apple Blossom last fall to re-landscape our whole exterior. Harvey, the owner is a dream to work with, and his crews, he has vetted really well, very specialized and skilled in their work, and are fantastic guys, you’d want to hangout with and invite to a bbq. They’re based up in Elgin and Harvey or his son (#2 in charge) stop by the job site at least daily. He asked me to accompany him to the quarry to pick our landscaping rocks, and to the masonry to pick the patio stone, rather than just showing me pictures in books. He has the books too, but he knows how different product looks in person. I can’t say enough great things about Harvey and Apple Blossom. His plans were really creative and while we got other quotes, his creative and comprehensive drawings were what sold us. He took our vague ideas of what we wanted and created a front yard that I love coming home to, and a back yard we love to hang out in, with shady trees we haven’t had in our yard since we moved in 8 years ago. Harvey will also come back as the seasons change and tell you how to care for your plantings with each season and how to prune/shape them. His knowledge about grass, plants, flowers and all things growing, is amazing, even for someone in his field. Would I recommend them, without hesitation. I wish I had more projects I could have them come back to do!

I am very grateful to my friend who recommended Harvey and Apple Blossom. It has been a pleasure throughout. Harvey is very attentive to the needs of his customers, prospective and actual, and generous with his time; even returning to inspect and answer questions after job completion. His employees did a great job, were friendly and courteous, and cleaned up well each day. They are hard workers! Our yard required re-grading, so all existing bushes and grass were removed, water drainage corrected and a new design of plantings and sod implemented. It looks wonderful, and we have survived these MANY days of rain with good drainage. Bravi to all involved! We will definitely recommend Apple Blossom to our friends.
