So you want a new house, what do you do next or what should you do first? Get an architect very quickly. Talk with a few of them so that you are very comfortable with your final choice. We could not have been happier with Vince Greene; the process and the results were great. Style, materials, finishes, number of rooms, appliances etc are a few of the topics Vince guided us through. He is a very very good listener. He has the unique ability to listen to your ideas and translate them into a design and a construction plan and full drawing of your new house from the street. Next, how do you choose a contractor? Vince set out a framework to guide the process, allowing us to make another decision. Then he helps you decide about an interior designer. After the team is assembled, then there is the jurisdictional approval and permitting as well as homeowner association and neighbor considerations. Vince has been involved with the complete process a long time. Getting him involved as early as possible will make the complexity simple and the difficult decisions easy. And then what if there are bumps in the road - things don't work out as planned? Vince does a great job "making things right." He might not be perfect, but he is very close. For us, I don't know how he could have been better.

I'm a developer, so have had significant experience working with architects. He and his firm designed a waterfront home for my wife and me. My experience with Vince Greene has been uniformly excellent/beyond expectations. Some of the reasons: -- he listened carefully to our objectives about what we wanted in a new home. -- while his initial conceptual presentation had elevations which were different than what we expected, the floor plan achieved every one of our objectives in an efficient and attractive way. -- once we had the opportunity to absorb and think about his initial design, we grew to appreciate it/love it. we implemented it in it's entirety. --He and his team are extremely detail oriented. in the end, this makes a tremendous difference. -- He and his team are practical. They are respectful of budgets. --Vince always stays calm, even when his clients don't. He is a great communicator and very helpful in decision making process between husband and wife. --Nothing he does is "cookie-cutter" His work is diverse and he is focused on the client. I could go on and on. he has my highest respect and recommendation.
