Gitani Stone

This feedback is to assist people who are considering using Gitani Stone versus another supplier. We had our benchtops and splashback installed and unfortunately the silicon that was used seeped into the edges of our stone and discoloured it. Gitani Stone agreed it was a faulty product and agreed to replace the benchtops and splashback. This is where the problem with Gitani Stone starts. Prior to removing the splashback, the two pieces of stone (which formed the entire area of our splashback) were book-matched as we wanted. Unfortunately, due to their poor quality control process, Gitani stone took 3 attempts at re-installing our splashback to make it book-matched. Upon complaining that the first replacement install was not book matched, Gitani replaced it. The second replacement also wasn’t book-matched. Upon complaining yet again, the truth was disclosed to us — Gitani were Too busy to cut the marble on the laser device which would achieve the book-matching. So they used their second device which wasn’t as accurate. I would not refer them to anyone because of this poor service and lack of quality control. Sadly, it took months to get this sorted and their attitude, service and support were terrible. The photos below show one image not book-matched (with the clamps) and the final outcome.

We chose Gitani stone to supply and fit our Mable bench tops for our kitchen for the following reasons. 1; they have a huge variety of slabs on offer 2; We were guided and educated on the various strengths and weaknesses of various stones to satisfy our lack of product knowledge. 3. Jason Gitani made sure that our stone bench’s were cut and installed within a tight deadline leading up to Christmas holidays in 2021 4. The whole process was professionally handled and we felt and still feel confident that Gitani stone treats their customers like partners. Not a good experience with these guys at all. After the check measure they asked me to sign off on the measurements which I wasn't comfortable with as they'd done all of it with a laser measure. Having said that I did notice that the measurement for the sink, which they had taken away with them to make sure of a good fit, was wrong. I let them know and plans were amended. When they turned up they had still cut the wrong size hole for the sink (even though they had the sink) and it had to go away for them to remake as they'd cut too big. Waiting, waiting, waiting with no finished kitchen. The MD turned up to apologise as I'd also complained about the visibility of the joins in the engineered stone. I even had to get the final installer to polish the edges of the benchtop where the join was as there was glue everywhere giving a dull finish. An MD Turning up saying he's sorry is not good enough for the inconvenience, just get it right first time, please......

Recently had a kitchen done with Gitani and felt like I was really taken care of. From quoting to installation the process was seamless and easy to understand. Got messed around by other companies before settling on Gitani and would not have it any other way!

I knew the moment I walked into their warehouse and saw the showroom I wanted to use Gitani Stone in my kitchen. The customer service from my initial contact to post installation has been amazing. I initially enquired via email after hours and within minutes the owner, Jason, had rang me and helped me book a private appointment to view their stones. I was shown the floor, but also as I was interested was given a tour of the factory. My splashback is long, and they managed to line the natural pattern of the stone up so it appears continuous. Post installation, I noticed a spot, a water mark, and Jason immediately arranged for some sealer to be sent to me which solved the problem immediately. I can honestly say that every single staff member I spoke to at Gitani is customer focused. I was stuck on how to do a splashback in my butlers pantry and the check measurer suggested a 200mm high return as I was stuck on how to integrate a wall with cupboards and a wall with windows and lining things up. It was a genius suggestion and I am really happy with the outcome. I would have no hesitation in recommending Gitani from a product and customer service perspective. We are so delighted with the finished product, your attention to detail is second to none, the quality of stone absolutely stunning and like nothing else we found with any other supplier. We now have a beautiful kitchen, alfresco area and laundry thanks to you and the partnership with Premier Kitchens. Gitani came highly recommended by a friend who is an experienced architect, so my expectations were high. Because the bench tops are the icing on the kitchen cake, I looked at a lot of alternative companies and products, but finally opted to go with Gitani because they had a professional front of house operation and the owner Jason helped me when I visited their showroom/factory and the other staff were busy. But most important, they had a great range of products, all well displayed and I found a really lovely granite in a ‘brushed leather’ finish and so I was willing to pay the premium cost for this natural stone (engineered or reconstituted stone alternatives were half the price or even less). There were a few hiccups during the design and delivery process and I had to get more involved in the detail than I expected, but the end result made it worth the extra time, trouble and cost, and now that the kitchen is completed, I’m happy I decided to go ahead with Gitani’s granite… the kitchen looks amazing.

I had a chip in my stone benchtop repaired. The whole operation was handled professionally from start to finish. Receptionist Grace and Stonemason Tony were both great. The chip was fixed expertly. I would strongly recommend this company.

Gitani Stone supplied and installed a kitchen and BBQ area in stone for a client of ours, and we were all so happy with the end result. In fact, the whole process from start to finish has been amazing and is the reason why I have gone to the trouble of writing this review. From the moment I sent the email request for a quote to the day it was installed I could not fault them. Well done to Jason and his team at Gitani Stone. Very rarely do I review businesses in a public forum but my experience at Gitani Stone can only be described as exceptional. From the initial meetings to choose the right stone for each location through to the installation, even after sales service the staff could not have been any more helpful or professional. I chose Gitani for our home renovation after visiting many well known and highly regarded stone suppliers. I believe they have a more diverse range of high quality stone whilst their artisans produce amazing stonework. The fact that I have had other tradesmen comment that the marble in our house is 'the best they have ever seen' is very comforting indeed! I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending Gitani Stone for any stone requirement. Best regards Peter
