David was absolutely great to work with. He was responsive, quick and gave us some great cost saving ideas. We were looking to remodel a rental and he was able to come up with a design that was of incredible value, both cost effective, yet the best use of space. David is great at what he does. I am a General Contractor and have worked with David on more than a dozen projects now. Kuop is a one stop shop for all of our design needs. David has an in depth understanding of how his designs relate to constructibility and bottom line for the Builder. He is also willing to think outside the box to achieve Architectural aesthetics without compromising structural integrity. On one recent project he actually caught an error in the stated lot size by the county. Catching this mistake allowed us to build the appropriate size addition to the home and took the project in a completely new direction. I cannot recommend Kuop Designs enough. We worked with David on an 370 sq ft addition and 1600 sq ft remodel. He is very responsive and came up with some really good ideas and was very easy to work with over email and phone. We had a great experience working with David at Kuop Designs during our lengthy home renovation. David is knowledgeable in his area, capable of making complex things easy and turning the requests into reality with good balance between esthetics and feasibility. He is also easy going and humorous, and we felt completely at ease since the first meeting. David was quick in responding to all the questions through emails and calls. During the plan review process, we changed our minds several times. He is always patient with the new ideas and able to find a solution to best fit our needs. In addition to designing, he also helped us with city codes and gave great recommendations on contractors and vendors. After having a horrible experience with our previous designer (who took eight weeks to design a simple floor plan which was also structurally unsound), David allayed our fears and was able to design a new floor plan in a timely manner. He was able to take our needs into account while designing a floor plan that was suitable for the particular foundation and soil requirements of the city (something that our previous designer was inept at doing). Because of David's work, we were able to begin construction more quickly than we had anticipated. When working w quap designs on my house addition for first time I was very impressed on how quickly he addressed all my code issues and concerns. He also gave me a couple different options on my floor plan layout, which I ended up using some of them. Quap designs was very punctual and professional. They also had top of the line surveying equipment, something I've never even seen before. This is why I only have used quop designs and am currently working our 3rd project to date.
