We had no experience with District Floor Depot, but the reviews were excellent, so we gave them a try. The service was superb starting with the contact with the store, making an appointment for a rep to come out with samples, setting up a date for installation and finally the floor being installed. District Floor Depot provided excellent service from start to finish when refinishing my entire downstairs floors. I requested an estimate upon a neighbor's referral and seeing many great detailed reviews. Mario came by quickly thereafter and spent a ton of time and consideration in explaining their process and recommendations for my floors. His expertise and professionalism is seriously way beyond the other companies who provided estimates for my project. Mario was able to schedule my project just a few days after I signed the contract and worked around my work schedule, to boot. He and his team -- Ever, Manuel, Gelsin, Isaiah, and Jose -- did everything with such extreme care and precision. From moving furniture and taking time with me to pick the stain color, to taking extra precautions around kitchen cabinets and appliances, these professionals are first class all the way. And Carlos was just so great in taking care of any and all questions I had with the project -- their responsiveness is amazing. I would give them more than five stars if possible -- and I definitely give District Floor Depot my highest recommendation. Don't plan a floor project without meeting with their team -- their capabilities are heads above the others.

Very happy with the services and product at District Floor Depot! They were easy to work with, scheduling was prompt, and the finished product was very professional. We received incredible first-rate customer service at District Floor Depot in Herndon. Their selection of products is really good and their showroom staff are knowledgeable and super friendly. We are renovating a 1960's home and we keep going back to District Floor Depot as our flooring provider of choice because of their good prices, good inventory in-stock, and friendly neighborhood vibe. they even helped me load 70 boxes of flooring onto my truck. Overall I really liked working with them and would continue to go back.

This place is amazing! Just knowledgeable people overall! I can't remember the peoples names that were phenomenal but there was a woman at the Herndon location that was really amazing and also one at the DC location that was amazing! I talked to one guy that was kind of a newbie sounded a little lost, but I'm sure he'll eventually get good too. Overall, from start to finish, DFD had made me feel comfortable with their knowledge, expertise, and prices. Finding the right floor was a struggle. Wish the manufacturers (not DFD) would continue making Woven Wicker...great hardwood...but thats unrelated to DFD. They came out measured and refunded that money with my purchase. Anyway, its a tough process finding the right floors...but if these folks happen to have the floor you like at the price you like it...they will be excellent

We didn’t have a great experience with getting an estimate. It was more than 3x what they quoted us in the store, but the owner followed up and we ended up going with a different contractor, but we did buy the materials from here and are happy with them so far. The owner was very apologetic and helpful.

They did a great job with new wood floors for my son's condo. They had a nice selection, great prices and wonderful customer service. Showed up right on time and finished when they said they would. Floors look great.

I have worked with District Floor Deport now on two occasions. The first was to match the hardwoods on the top three levels of our home, replacing some rugs put in before the house was sold to us. The work was exceptional and a year later, still perfect. They got us the exact match we wanted. To: The District Floor Depot (DFD) Staff, Since day one of entering District Floor Depot (DFD) in 2018 has been a delightful experience. As of 2021 my desire for new flooring is halfway completed.The staff is patient when answering questions and providing knowledgeable input. Kind and courteous customer service. The displays are plentiful and good quality. Really hard to choose from because of the many choices. I have recently had natural white oak installed to my upstairs home a week ago and the floors are beautiful. The crew arrived at the appointed times, worked efficiently and ended at the project in two days as stated. I am now awaiting to have my downstairs installation done the second week of May. The overall process has been stress free, easy and the Rhode Island location made it easy to stop in, gather information, make my selections and start the process for my new flooring. District Floor Depot did the flooring job at our house. We were very delighted with the results, as the job was very diverse. We had luxury vinyl plank flooring in the basement, carpet in the stairs and bedrooms, refinished wood in the kitchen, and new hardwood in the living area in addition to all the transitions in between. There hardwood installation and refinishing were perfect, we cannot tell were the old wood ends and the new wood starts. The floor in the basement was not perfectly level, so they did prep work to make it flawless. The carpeted stairs flow nicely through the 3 floors. They stained the shoe molding to match the hard flooring. They handled the entire project in a timely manner and exceed our expectations. I have recommended them to my sister who lives off Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase. She is using them to install hardwood throughout the house for her son’s allergies.

I'm loving how our floors look now! They delivered an extremely high quality of service while finishing the project quickly and efficiently. The whole process, from the sale to the installation took 3 weeks with only 3 days of actual construction. The team was on time everyday and ready to start working immediately. Highly recommend their service, and would also like to mention how every member wore face masks during the entire process and proceeded consciously of the current ongoing pandemic.

At first, the hardwood floor we’ve decided to get took longer than expected to arrived as they had to shipped it from Europe. They offered similar floors but we wanted that one and it was worth the wait. Management team and supervisors were very on top and helpful assisting the project. Installation team was amazing and they were very experienced on their job. They knew exactly what they were doing. Wall base wasn’t part of the deal at first as we had contractors at home that could do the job. But district floor depot installation team was so good we decided to let them be in charge of the entire floor renovation. Overall they did a good job and we are super pleased with the result. We love our new floors.

I had an excellent experience with District Floor Depot. I purchased from them and also had them install 7.5" white oak hardwood floors throughout my 2 level rowhome in Washington DC. The floors came out beautifully and the the entire experience was 1st Class from my initial conversations in their showroom to the completion of the project a short time later. Not to mention, I did a ton of research on floors before choosing this company, and they were considerably less expensive than every other place I checked for white oak floors. I would absolutely hire them again and I happily refer them to friends/colleagues who are considering home remodels and flooring changes. Two thumbs up!!

They came out to do a small project (just replacing the floors in my guest room) but they were able to match the floors in the guest bedroom to my current floors in the living room/dining room perfectly. District Floor Depot (DFD) has a very responsive staff. I ordered flooring for a housing project in DC. DFD's prices were 20% cheaper than a competitor I previously used. In addition to the prices, I can't say enough about their staff. They were attentive to my needs, my project timeline, and our dialogue. They were very responsive and professional.

When Mani came to my condo for an estimate, he told me what all my options were and was very detailed in explaining what all the costs were. They had my estimate ready in less than 24 hours, and I trusted them enough to install my flooring while I was out of town. If you're looking for flooring definitely give District Floor Depot a shot - you'll get a great product in the end, and you'll be supporting a local business.

i solicited for work on monday, they came out that day and were able to do the work on wednesday as i requested with some grey vinyl tile that looks like wood. looks great. the tile didnt even have any scratches after i moved in. i would definitely hire them again as they were informative, flexible and professional and i think i got a great value

Last year I wanted to change my carpet out with hardwood floors. I already had hardwood in the kitchen and foyer. I wanted to replace all the carpet with the same flooring or close to it. After speaking with lumber liquidators, Luna Flooring, Empire and a local shop in VA (that quoted me without a site visit) I decided to go with District floor depot. I stopped in the store on a Wednesday and the following Saturday Mani was at my home for a consult. He was very professional and did not try to upsell me on anything. He suggested the style he thought would be a perfect match and he was right. The following Monday I had a quote in my email. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the floors done so almost a 10 months later I called the store to see if I can get it done and they remember me and had all my information still and was ready to proceed. Heidy was very helpful and stayed in touch with me throughout the project until completion. Even as I changed some of the material and install dates they still was very professional and accommodating. I really like that I did not have to be home during the installation. The installers was prompt and early and did not waste any time getting to work. The team that did my installation worked from the time they got there until they left. And they left my home just as they found it. They cleaned up any mess that was made and took all trash with them. I did not find any trash in or around my home at all. Then to top it all off to get a follow-up call after the installation to make sure I was satisfied with the outcome was also a nice touch. They have a very customer orientated & professional staff overall. My experience was excellent. I highly recommend anyone that is looking to get their floors done to give them a look. I will be using them again myself to do my parents’ home next.

I worked with several sales personnel prior to ordering 1500 sqft of beautiful northern red oak, that came prefinished. Heidy, Melvin, and Mani (location Mgr.) are all very professional and extremely knowledgeable. Their guidance resulted in a very efficient selection, order, and shipment process. I received my product ahead of time and it was distributed throughout the house, by their delivery personnel. I highly recommend District Floor Depot!

We received a coupon mailer to visit the new store and were hooked. District Floor Depot had more solid wood options and prices than we had discovered over the past year. The sales staff was knowledgeable and took time (hours) to answer our questions, discuss pros and cons of our top choices, bring over larger samples while measuring for our quote, and describe the installation process. We had other construction at the time and had to move our delivery and install dates a few times and District Floor Depot was very accommodating. Installation for our entire second floor was all in a day's work. The crew was very respectful and efficient. We originally didn't plan on having them install the molding, but called midway through the job to add the service since they could install it faster and better than us. We are extremely happy with our floor choice--buzz saw hickory grey--and love how it looks with the rest of our house elements--mix of grey, white, black, provincial, and antique bronze. We look forward to calling back Floor District Depot to do our stairs and main floor hardwoods in the future!

Most knowledgeable sales people I have seen in the industry. There is no sign it now pressure. The floors looked amazing, the installation went with out an issue.

District Floor is great. They refinished my floors and they turned our great; better than I expected. Their price beat competitors and they did exactly what I asked for. All of their staff was incredibly responsive, nice, humble and professional. I think it might be a family-type business and you feel like part of the family when they are working on your project.

I had a good experience with District Floor Depot. They were prompt and courteous. I found their service was much better than Home Depot. I was selling my condo and I had old carpet that needed replacing in my bedroom. I had District Floor Depot put in hardwood. DFD finished the job in less than 2 hours. My bedroom looked so much better. I sold my condo the next week. I recommend getting rid of that old carpet/flooring and using DFD to do it.

I have always founded difficult to pick a flooring just because when I had visited a flooring store prices are not displayed and you never truly know if the price that's given to you is the price that's given to everyone else and the customer service has always been so poorly. Gladly when I walked in to this showroom I was greeted with a genuine smile and they were very helpful but not pushy which it's GREAT! Over all I picked the flooring I wanted, when the flooring arrived we already had a date for the acclamation and a date for the Installation. I heard about District Floor Depot from a friend of mine who lives around the store. I needed new hardwood floors on the main level of my house, so I took my friend's recommendation and visited the showroom. Mani and his associates helped me narrow down my choices. I ended up picking a natural hickory floor that looks warm and inviting on the main level.
