Colonial Restoration Studio has been refinishing, restoring, and conserving furniture and antiques for over 30 years. Located in Gaithersburg Maryland, just outside of Washington DC, our studio is nestled in the heart of Montgomery County.

Excellent! Checked with numerous places and chose to use them. Best decision. Very honest! Had a very sentimental bar/cabinet restored in and out.

Colonial Restoration did wonderful work restoring two pieces of furniture, including a large lectern, for our congregation. Both pieces were old and well-worn. Jarrod visited the congregation, provided excellent input regarding restoration options, worked with a glass supplier to replace 14 panels of glass, and returned both pieces in wonderfully restored condition. I enjoyed working with David and Jarrod at Colonial Restoration, and we are very appreciative for their fine work.

Dave and his son Jared really know their craft! Dave is amazingly talented in many aspects of art creativity -- woodworking, restoration, painting, faux painting (marbling, different finishes). It was a great pleasure to work with someone (Jared also) who loves what he does and goes above and beyond to make sure he understands your vision and makes it happen! They did an amazing job on my client's refinish project. Will definitely be doing more business with Dave and recommending Colonial Restoration to colleagues and clients.

Colonial Restoration is a first rate company who I have had the opportunity to use for many years. The quality of their work is outstanding and their prices are very fair. The owner Dave Hawksford is the kind of business man that you often do not see anymore. Very hands on and provides excellent service after the sale. A very honest guy!
