Decóra Cement

Terrible experience. The quality of the job was poor. After lengthy negotiations, we agreed on a compensation. Then the company declared bankruptcy and now claims they have no money. Unfortunately I did my due diligence too late: it turns out that its Director did this trick several times before. His name is Oscar MOSQUERA LOPEZ and should not be allowed to become a director of yet another company.

The Decora team did an excellent job at micro-cementing our bathroom: They have a great attention to detail and make every effort to deliver a precise and high-quality job. I must also highlight that they were really flexible with planning the start and end of the project according to our requirements (for example, they were willing to work late to make sure they finish at the date we wanted, which we much appreciated). They also kept us well informed about the overall progress of the work and kept the workspace tidy throughout.

After more than 10 months of the cooperation with Decora cement and numerous projects that we have undertaken I got a courage to change my review on here: We were using decora cement as our main subcontractor for the projects provided by our company Cemlux where after agreement we were using their own Contractors, Material and samples of the materials. On our first project together we have been already overcharged, because this company does not take any responsibility for the surfaces until they are flawlessly perfectly prepared but is lacking on their side to provide you with the sufficient information and knowledge how the preparation should be executed and is ready to charge extra whoever comes into contact with them covering their internal expenses for their employees who are taking salary wages whether they work or not - so far so good. Following to our more recent projects where we had to completely manage their employee on our project while the owners have been on a holiday leaving us in a complete awe with the miscommunication between the leadership of the company and its own employees left to be managed literally by themselves and their own judgement of what is good/right to do. After it has come to our attention from their own employee that the old materials that have been stocked for several months have been used on our project and causing issues with the finish and lacquer, also inability of the installer to spot the issue with the oil mark on the sub-surface which should be managed hence causing the marks on the final surface - still not so bad after all. Despite all those issues we have still decided to continue to cooperate with Decora on our last 2 projects which have caused a complete disruption for our customers during their renovation process. The next customer has been cancelled on from day to day and the money has not been returned till this day and the other project was cancelled as well denying the booking deposit and not finishing the works they should provide. We do not cooperate with this company anymore and only now we found out only now that many companies in the industry have the same opinion about this company. Please see attached images.
