Hi, Welcome to Zest Interior Design. I created my interior design business when I decided to combine my two loves in life, that is working with people and sharing my passion for interior design. Essentially, I am a people person and find it incredibly satisfying to transform my clients homes into a special place that reflects there taste and lifestyle. My interior and exterior projects include: ✥ Creating a home environment that is comfortable and inspiring to live in ✥ Designing unique and beautiful domestic interiors that reflect the owners personality, lifestyle and taste. ✥ Selecting beautiful and functional finishes ✥ Purchasing special Australian paintings that create a wow factor in their homes ✥ Creating beautiful colour schemes that have enhanced their properties both financially and aesthetically. ✥ Effective project management and used trusted builders, tradespeople and interior suppliers to that meet budgets and timelines. I offer an extensive range of interior services and cater for various sized project from intimate spaces to complete homes. I will make the whole process less stressful, more enjoyable and I will save you time and money. If you are after a one off consultation for colour and styling advice, or a larger kitchen/living area revamp which involves a longer time frame you have come to the right place. I recently hired Debbie Palic from Zest Interiors to assist me in producing a CAD design for my Kitchen renovation in Woollahra and guide finish selections.. I found Debbie to be creative and collaborative to work with and her charges very reasonable. It was so helpful to work with a professional, knowledgeable interior designer with creative ideas. Critically she was able to work within my limited budget for an outcome that exceeded my expectations, being beautiful, practical and timeless. All advice was provided in a timely manner and within budget. Zests engagement contract was clear and fair. All invoicing was consistent with the terms of engagement. I would positively recommend her services and intend to work with her again in the near future to assist me with my window furnishings.

Debbie was just the designer we needed ! She created a beautiful design for our apartment based on our spec for a relaxed warm modern asian themed home. She was able to incorporate some of our existing pieces into the scheme, and introduced and guided us to amazing new ideas, materials, fabrics and objects we would have never found or thought of using ourselves. The result was amazing. We now have a home with the wow factor that feels a joy to be in everyday.

Debbie was professional, clear in her clients requirements, selections and scope which meant we could concentrate on delivery and execution. I hired Zest Interior design to buy furniture for my unit in Randwick. She insisted that she pays for the furniture and I reimburse her instead of me paying directly to the suppliers. When the job finished she fabricated an invoice to show a higher amount ($4,799) for the storage unit while in reality she only paid $4,361.02 as per the invoice that was provided to me by the furniture store. She refused to refund the overcharge or provide invoices for the other items that I paid for. She also quoted me an extra $200 for the dining table in addition to the retail price. As she has not provided invoices for the other items, I do not know how much she overcharged me. Based on this experience I cannot recommend it.

Evangelos I am sorry you feel that way. I believe I have behaved professionally throughout the time you engaged my interior services. I offered to purchase the furniture for you and you agreed. Following my home furnishing selections you approved all of my home furnishing invoices, payed me and I purchased these items on your behalf.

When you received your home furnishings you requested my wholesale invoices which is not a normal commercial request. I tried to discuss this over the phone but you wouldn’t accept my calls.

I believe a chat over the phone would of easily resolved any invoice misunderstandings. Please give me a call anytime to discuss any concerns that you may have.

It is standard practice for interior designers to add a mark up on wholesale prices. The client still acquires their purchase well below retail prices. I have no control over truck drivers or retailers who unprofessionally disclose there wholesale pricing.

Anyone who has used my interior services know that I am honest and go above and beyond for my clients. Just to remind you I provided a kitchen quote for you and I accepted deliveries on your behalf, I did not charge you for these services.

We recently moved to our new family home, and engaged Debbie from Zest Interior Design to assist us with the renovation of our bathrooms, and provide storage solutions throughout the house. She also provided creative colour schemes for the inside and exterior of our home. We just love our ensuite bathroom as it has a bright contemporary feel that we were after. It is great to have extra storage space that fits in with the style of each room. Moving back into my apartment after 18 months away, I really wanted a completely new look. I didn't want to move back into the same old tired space. I enlisted Debbie's help and am really pleased with the result. I now love being there and feel happy just looking around my place! Debbie helped me choose what was right for me and also what would be suitable for the space that was available. The response from friends and family has also been exceptional. It was a great experience and I could never have made the right decisions on my own!

More Than Curtains

I have recently had the privilege of working with Debbie on a project in Bondi. Her eye for detail and wonderful style impressed me greatly. The client was totally confident in Debbie's choices and it wasn't necessary for me to explain much, as Debbie had already briefed the client thoroughly about what to expect with her window coverings. Debbie was a delight to work with and I look forward to collaborating with her again.
