I have recently worked with MIC on an extension to a substantial luxury property in Hampstead London NW3. MIC carried out all the building works, which included the removal of load bearing structure (steel columns and beams) and the construction and installation of a new steel box frame. The construction was made difficult and complicated by the numerous existing mechanical and electrical services that needed to be adjusted to be incorporated within the new works. MIC's task was made more onerous having to carry out the majority of the work whilst the property was occupied by the client. MIC were involved at every stage of the project from inception to completion. MIC's input at the Detail Design Stage was invaluable, providing accurate costing information and various samples of finishes etc for the client's approval, to crystallize the client's brief and the client's detailed requirements. The works involved the removal of existing timber framed fenestration from the rear of the property at upper ground and garden levels, the removal of the existing balcony and support structure, the creation of enlarged window openings to flood the property with natural light. A specialist minimalist glazing system was used for the new window openings, new balcony floor and new balustrade. A side extension was created at garden and upper ground floor levels to provide a breakfast room and a natural light well respectively, using minimalist specialist glazing for the large expanse of window area and for the internal floor at upper ground floor level. MIC also carried out all the landscaping works, which included laying large stone slabs on proprietary supports and cladding existing steps and side walls with Portland stone. The landscaping works were complemented with the construction of a bespoke external BBQ area, comprising rendered masonry walls, granite slabs and stainless steel equipment and fittings. MIC managed to meet the exacting standards of both the architect and client to create an extension that fits and sits perfectly within the existing property that looks, to all intents and purposes, that it was part of the original house - a fundamental and key requirement of the client. I have worked with MIC in the past and always found them to be very accommodating, meticulous in their work and a pleasure to work with. We have worked with MIC on two projects. Both were residential refurbishments to flats in Central London. They are very attentive and keen to get things right. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but in this game you get what you pay for and the quality is very good. The tradesmen used are all employed by MIC and are very knowledgable. They don't take a contractural stance and we found them to be reasonable and honest. We'd definitely recommend them for similar jobs and will look to use them again in the future.

I am an architect specialising in high end residential projects for developers and end user clients, both in the UK and globally. I completed a project in Kensington with MIC, refurbishing the interior of a Modernist listed apartment for a private client. The works included new kitchen, bathrooms, finishes and services throughout. David and his team acted professionally at all times, and carried out the work to a good standard. Critically, due to the nature of the work, they also did not seek to take advantage of the inevitable changes requested by the client during the construction period. I can therefore recommend MIC for similar building works, and intend including them on tender lists in future.
