Working with David Bennet on our 2019-2020 shore build was a pleasure. Our vacation home needed to be the destination for a large, multi generational family, This important goal was discussed in the very first meeting and David took the challenge to heart. He created a design that was a perfect blend of usability and beauty. Our home is filled with light and interest, providing rooms for large gatherings or quiet moments. We thank David for his calm and approachable demeanor, as well as his gift for design.

David designed our beach house at the shore. What we love about David is he listened to our ideas. We have been vacationing at the Jersey Shore our entire lives and have seen many new homes built over the years. Many start to look exactly alike. David's are better. He listens to his clients and he helped us create a unique home with all of our wish list items. His quality and attention to detail are unsurpassed. He has great relationships with builders which is also a very important part of the process. And he is there from beginning to end making sure everything we wanted was completed as we wanted. Our beach house is everything we wanted it to be and we could not be happier.

David drew the plans for our just-completed beach house and WOW does it look incredible! He truly has an artist's eye for beautiful architecture. David was very easy to work with throughout the planning process. He guided us to make decisions that would be aesthetically pleasing while also being flexible and open-minded with our wishes. XL Builders had the good fortune of being hired by one of David’s clients to construct an intricate 2,000-sf addition on their 1880’s Colonial home. David’s ability to tie the ‘old’ and the ‘new’ together was impressive. He was actively involved and responsive to all requests throughout construction. We look forward to working with David again.

Designing a home with an architect is a negotiation. He has his vision and the homeowner has theirs, but as soon as David visited our property, he knew that the views of the water had to be the focus of our home. He carefully created a design that embraced the back bay, the marshes, and the skyline, and that brought those fabulous sunsets into every part of our home. He not only met our expectations. He surpassed them! I am so happy that we found him to create this beautiful place for us!

We hired David to design & plan the construction of our beach house in Avalon , NJ. We subsequently visited some of the new home projects David had completed in Avalon and spoke to a few of the home owners. We hired David Bennett to design our new single family home in North Wildwood. We enjoyed working with David through the entire process and would highly recommend him if you are looking for a unique and distinct design. David was extremely patient, while also helping to move the project along at a steady pace. Our highest praise for David, however, probably derives from our delight in the finished project. His attention to every detail and his great use of space and views resulted in the perfect home for our family.

We hired David to design a complete re-build of a small bungalow cottage in Stone Harbor, NJ. Our decision was based on some very impressive homes he designed on the island, as well as excellent references from past clients. David's charge was challenging - design a classic shore cottage with a strong attention to architectural detail and lots of functionality in a very small space (while staying within budget). David more than exceeded expectations. The project was completed in 2012, and the house is fabulous!! It was selected by a local charity for its annual fundraising tour of distinctive homes. To this day we are still receiving compliments from passers-by whenever we sit out on the front porch. David was a pleasure to work with - always good-natured and accommodating - and very knowledgeable in all aspects of the design - including (but not limited to) exterior roofing and siding, interior woodwork, bathrooms, kitchen, and lighting.
