I have the highest possible regard for Cheryl both professionally and personally.
My real estate agent referred Cheryl to me for "some help with paint colors." That still cracks me up. In the summer of 2007, we closed on a house that was decorated in early gaudy -- crimson walls, shiny gold fixtures with dangling crystals, puddled curtains.
I hated it. I also hate all things related to decorating -- it both bores and scares me to death.
Cheryl realized that I was in need of far more than help with paint. She sat me down and asked, "how can I help you."
I burst into tears. My family had been under a terrible strain for the last 18 months and I needed a home for my boys -- and that crimson monstrosity was NOT a home.
Cheryl worked a miracle -- with little input from me she painted, retiled, had shower doors installed, ordered furniture for the boys, hung art, selected fabric based upon a bowl of potpourri I handed her -- all under less than ideal circumstances (the power got turned off in the middle of painting. In July. Cheryl wasn't going to let a little thing like that stop her.
Shortly after that I helped her furnish and decorate the house we were building in Colorado. She would hand me three fabric arrays and I chose one. If I didn't choose the one she preferred she would gently guide me. I never had to go to a fabric store.
Cheryl treats every dime spent as if it is her own. She actually returned a table for Colorado because she found it for $100 cheaper at a different store. Decorators just don't do that. I guarantee you, she will be an excellent steward of whatever budget you give her.
In short, I cannot recommend her highly enough. Her husband, Kerry, is a contractor and he is also excellent. I don't know how those two perfectionists live together, but they make a fantastic team!
