We hired Mark to build our home due to his focus on energy efficiency and green building practices. Our goal was to build the most energy efficient house we could without spending excessively. When you build green home on a budget, there are many different considerations - insulation, aspect, foundation, heating - even the overall design of the home. Mark was able to guide us through this maze and helped us choose the home design, technologies, and building materials and to maximize the effect of our money. For example, money invested in windows and insulation might have more of a positive effect than dumping it all into a ground source heat pump or solar array, despite how cool they appear. I interviewed the vast majority of builders in Whitefish, MT before deciding that Bridgewater was the right one for my project. It was an easy decision because I wanted my home to not only have minimal environmental impact, but also to be built by a builder who took great care in the quality of the materials. The home itself is electrified and smart, sporting a large solar array, remote-operation, lithium-ion battery pack, a heat pump, and dual EV charging ability in the garage. It is extraordinarily energy efficient, with a negligible carbon footprint. Even the winter's electric bill is small. It is truly built for the 21st century. The project came in on budget and on time. Mark is a master organizer and gets things done effectively. When decisions had to be made, he would present various alternatives and explain pros and cons.

Mark is a good communicator which makes building a house with him both positive and clear in what expectations are in place. He was very timely and seemed efficient in the manner in which he worked. I visited the site daily and saw change each and every day. Mark is precise and orderly in how he runs a building site. Visitors to our home always speak to the feeling of being in a home that is solidly built and we agree. Our house was built with green concepts and is a dream to live in. It holds in heat in the winter and stays cool in the summer. And, Mark was open to suggestions that emerged as we were building -- like sky lights which were not on the main plan and we just love the light that comes in from those two sources. He also has a nice personality, is a good family man and seems to get along with all who know him.
