We first met Scott Bolden, when he designed and built a cedar deck on the front of our home for us in 2006. His work was beautiful, his design skills impressive, his attention to aesthetics as important to him as his attention to the quality of the work--in short all he did for us was top notch. When we decided to have our back deck and fenced in dog yard rebuilt, we were delighted to see that Scott was still designing and building decks. He came out soon after we called him, listened to what we thought we wanted, and offered some great design suggestions. A few days later, he sent us some computer-generated pictures of what we'd discussed and an estimate, which seemed fair to us. Frankly, we didn't feel a need to get other estimates. That is something we never have done. We always have gotten at least three estimates for big projects. But we knew that even if we had gotten cheaper estimates from good guys, we wanted Scott to do the work. He did a tremendously professional, aesthetically beautiful job. He worked with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the way things were progressing. Except for a minor repair of some wood rot he could not have anticipated, his estimate did not go up one penny! He's truly the best, and his brother Mike and wife Layla, both of whom helped him with the work, are such good people--a great family. Reliable and A++ professional! I highly recommend him!

Scott was fantastic. This was a large deck, built around a semi-inground pool. About 1300 square feet in total. We made several changes throughout the build and he was very helpful in pointing us in the right direction. I don’t think that I could have made a better choice than Bolden Home Improvement. Scott and family were an absolute pleasure to work with for our beautiful 2nd story deck. He brought us along every step of the way and ensured we felt comfortable with all critical decisions. We absolutely love our deck and the sliding glass door from our living room.

Scott did a fantastic job for us. He screened in our porch with a nice knee wall and then built a separate deck in the yard. We decided to work with Scott after seeing the work he did for a friend, which was top notch and at a very reasonable cost. Best part of our experience was Scott's flexibility. We had a couple of other contractors doing some landscaping work and other work outside, and Scott was easy to coordinate with...pausing as necessary to let the other team finish their work. In all, his work was high quality and came in as budgeted - which was more than reasonable.

The deck we needed was a challenge because the yard sloped up from the back door to the driveway. We needed something to make the driveway more accessible for my father-in-law. Scott Bolden did a wonderful job coming up with a plan. He was very precise about everything and made sure to engage us often throughout the process to make sure we were happy and give us options for the next phase. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a deck built.
