I am happy in my home every day because of Angie. She essentially outfitted our entire new home with furniture & decor. Prior to Angie this process felt really daunting, and then Angie made it easy and FUN! Angie has a gift of honing in on your personal style, and then has the experience, expertise, and connections to bring it to life in a cohesive way, all while adhering to (or coming in under!) your budget. She also considers other life factors (we have young kids), and helped us make choices that would really fit our lifestyle. Angie is prompt, a great communicator, knows all the in’s and out’s of the design/decor world, and truly became a trusted friend through our time together. She is now working with 3 of our friends because of our great experience with her. LOVE her!

Angie cuts to the chase and puls together creative options that sing! She listens well and her recommendations are spot on. I’ve enjoyed working with her and would use her again and again.

Angela worked on three bathroom projects. Her suggestions were spot on for each bathroom. In the guest bath she recommended only replacing the light over the mirror - keeping everything else as is. The second bathroom remodel included new lights, mirror, vanity and paint. We kept the existing cabinet and painted it a fresh new color. The master bath was a complete remodel. A new configuration provided for a larger shower space. We picked out beautiful tile and accessories. It turned out fabulous. Angela is super fun to work with. She has great ideas and is open to working with what you already have if it fits in the new plan (keeping existing vanities, etc.). She has good relationships with suppliers and contractors. I will definitely call her for my next project.

I worked with Angela for help with giving our main level a facelift. She's a great listener and her recommendations were exactly what I was looking for to update our furniture, window coverings and art placement. Her style is approachable and her communication is prompt and concise. I highly recommend her services!

I wanted to refresh the main floor of my house and was overwhelmed with where and how to start the project. Angela was highly recommended by a good friend who had just worked with her on redoing her own home. Angela came over and listened to my vision and quickly realized I needed a plan to move forward. She picked out some gorgeous paint colors, wallpaper and rugs. She also has helped me pick out some furniture pieces that work well with pieces I already own. She has an amazing eye and has made the whole process exciting and has saved me countless hours and $$$!

Angela is fantastic to work with! I had a vision for how I wanted the main living area of a house we had purchased to look and she nailed it! In my initial meeting with her we talked about my ideas, styles and likes. She suggested a number things we hadn’t even thought of, like a framed 5’ x 7’ mirror, that looks amazing and is the perfect item for that particular wall! She was so easy to work with, didn’t push any of her ideas on me, and quickly grasped what I liked and didn’t like. The end result is a beautiful home that we get many compliments on. And the best part is that it looks even better than my vision due to Angela’s expertise on what pieces work best where, size of furniture and artwork to best fit the space. I wouldn’t hesitate at all to use her as my decorator for future projects or to recommend her to family and friends.

Angela was an invaluable asset for our recent kitchen/family room/laundry/powder room remodel, which turned out great! I’ve worked with several interior designers over the years, and Angela is the BEST. Noted: Angela and I knew each other from school days. I was referred to Angela by a mutual friend for a main bathroom remodel/renovation project and a partial kitchen re-model project. Angela spoke with my wife and I, and explained what she would do, how much a bathroom re-model and kitchen remodel would cost and the timeframe to get the project completed. Both the timeframe and cost came out exactly as she predicted. Angela prides herself on coming into a new project, listening to what the home owner wants/requests, and then makes it happen. That is exactly what occurred for us. My wife and I are extremely pleased and happy with how the bathroom remodel and partial kitchen remodel turned out. Both rooms feel modern, fresh but also comfortable and in style for a house built in the 1950s. While not a big-time client, Angela made us feel like we are big-time clients to her and has the personal touch, expertise and knowledge to make dreams/goals for renovations happen. Angela is an incredible designer!! When I first met her, I was skeptical if she would take my personality/decorating style into perspective or just do what she likes. Well as I my project continued, I realized she 100% got to know me and listened to what I wanted and liked. She figured out our lifestyle and made the space become unique to us. Purchase of downtown Minneapolis condo. Contacted Angela Chaffee at Valentine Design to assist with interior design updates for lighting and light fixtures, painting and wallpaper selections and vendors, replacement of cabinet, and upgrade of a couple of blinds and draperies. Also with the open floor plan looking for her expertise and guidance on furnishings and accessories, Angela is fabulous to work with. The contractors she works with are great people to work with and skilled, knowledgeable professionals. They made all of the scheduling and timelines workable and delivered when they said they would with an extremely looking professional delivery. Angela is creative and she is willing to work with and incorporate in the design what we currently had and wanted to take with us as well as easily ascertaining my husband's and my interest and the look we felt we wanted to achieve. She is open to work with multiple vendors and suppliers. She is great at selecting multiple pieces online for us to review and select from. In those few situations where we were not clicking with the choices she offered, she gave us other names of vendors or sites to review. As we identified something we liked and thought would work, she reviewed and let us know she was in agreement and she thought our choice would look great. She is a delightful person to work with. I would recommend her and look forward to working with her again in the future.

Angela and I completed an awesome project together, she was great to work with, she knew exactly what was needed to get the wow effect in each and every room, This Project was a complete home renovation 7,600 square feet which included adding just over 1,600 square feet of new living space, and 3,500 square feet of outdoor living space, there are not enough words to describe the total awesomeness of this project. I only wish Anglea lived closer to our base, we would hire Angela exclusively if she was nearby, This amazing project is located in Northen VA. She sticks to your budget and never pressures you to go over the amount you want to spend. She will take the time to really get familiar with your project. She is amazing with color, mixing textures, creating gallery walls. She took my favorite sitting room and made it even more amazing with beautiful lamps and a gallery wall. Whenever I have a bad day, I just take a cup of tea into my sitting room, sit across from my gorgeous gallery wall and count my blessings. Angela also has an amazing grasp of color. I love all the colors she's chosen for our home. Before Valentine Design, I felt lost. I really tried to create a place where I could relax and reflected my personality. However, I couldn't quite get our interior design where I wanted it to go. Angela came in to the home, walked around, listened to our decorating issues, and came up with amazing solutions. Now we have a beautiful interior design. Our main challenge was our living room/family room. It's a large room and I never could figure out how to arrange it. She did it! I really recommend her! She's amazing. She also has a reliable network of contractors for painting, cabinet and furniture making. So if you want an interior designer who sticks to your budget, understands you and your style but will elevate your style to the next level, then Valentine Design is definitely a great fit for you.

Angela helped me throughout my entire home remodel. This is very important as many other designers will just do exactly what you want without challenging you to consider different trends or colors etc. She listens intently and is also a great problem solver for situations that require it. I was totally overwhelmed at the tile shop for a bathroom and she pulled out all the best options and we had the decisions made quickly. Working with her is a wonderful experience.
