Thanks! 1.8 x 2.1 should be plenty - assuming your floor to floor height isn't more than about 3 metres. This stair is 2050 x 2050, which is actually quite generous. Making the footprint of the stair into a square means the geometry of each piece is easier to work out. If you boxed in the area you have for the stair to be a perfect 1.8 x 1.8 square you'll still end up with a stair that still feels quite spacious.
