Clinton Hill Brownstone Landing and Stairs

This is the 2nd Floor landing looking from the baby's room towards the bathroom at the far end, and the stairwell up to the 3rd floor lit by the skylight above. We took up wall-to-wall carpeting on the landings and the stairs and restored the parquet, then added a sisal runner to the stairs for longevity and some grippy-ness. We also changed the light fixtures throughout (here replacing Lowe's flush-mounts with semi-flush lanterns by Currey & Co.) and spent extra time restoring this amazing mahogany bannister. photo by Courtney Chilov
