Kitchen Isle Ideas
Either idea here would work. One of them has a countertop, the other is pure pantry.
I was thinking that we could re-use all the old doors on the island and perhap make a separate unit entirely for the area against the back wall, something like this or the next photo. What do you think?
Just saving this one because I like the look of the hardware - and on the non "business" side of the island.
Another example of mixing colours. It might work very well to use a solid colour in contrast to your honeyed oak cabinets.
Alternately it might also work if we had a bookshelf on one of the ends...we may have almost five feet at one end, so it should not feel cramped.
It might be very neat to have an open bookshelf on the dining room side of the island. Not full length or height but in a couple of nooks perhaps?
Notice the contrast between the black and white. Black may go well with the existing golden oak colour.
