This kitchen has 3 elements of design. Texture is used for the back-splash, horizontal line is used for the counter in the middle, and the space looks wider because of the horizontal lines
Curved lines because the shape of the room and the floor are all curved which makes the room more interesting than a normal room.
Dominant lines are the grey (vertical) and the accent is the orange (horizontal) which makes the orange stand out.
Texture is used behind the toilet to give interest to the room. It can influence the way people feel about the room.
Diagonal line because the ceiling is diagonal which gives interest to the room and gives it a cool look.
Room divided because the room is divided so it makes the room appear smaller. You can use this if you have wood floors in one room and carpet in the other and it will divide it without using a wall.
Horizontal lines because the wall paint which is horizontal lines tricks your eyes to make the room wider.
Vertical lines because the paint on the wall are strips that are going up and down which makes the room look taller.
Zig zag because the book shelves are a zig zag shape and gives a interesting look.
Positive and negative space because it's a picture collage that has good balance of space between them which gives a shape of a rectangle.
Light apparent weight because of the light colors of the paint and cabinets.
Heavy apparent weight because of the dark colors on the wall and couch that draws your attention.
Space extended outward- the windows trick your eyes to make you see farther.
Small space made to look bigger by using windows that go from the ceiling to the floor to make the room look taller.
This room uses texture from the fireplace to the floor to give interest to the room.
Large space made to look smaller by using a big couch which takes up most of the room.
